Chrix2000: If you can read and write then you should be able to do it yourself. Ask question when you get stuck. You can use either the IRCC portal or the GCKey to apply: https://portal-portail.apps.cic.gc.ca/signin?lang=en Or the GCKey account. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Olusapo: Olasupo, I would suggest he utilize the Canadian visa first and fulfil the visa conditions by not overstaying but return back to his home country. He can then apply for the US visa by filling the Canadian travel history in his DS160. That may strengthen his profile. However, if he chooses to proceed to apply for US visa now, he has to bear in mind that his success at the US consulate would depend on how well he is able to respond to the officers interview questions. He has not yet utilized the Canadian visa so no travel history on record yet. He should not relax just because he has a Canadian visa. Let him prepare very well for the interview. The interview questions would most likely come from what he filled in his DS160. All the best to your cousin. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

Hello everyone, I want to submit a visitors visa application but I’m concerned about the timeline. My best friend has invited me to Canada for her daughters 1st birthday on the 30th of December and I know it’s really close and it looks like it’s too late to apply. Although it’s stated on the letter that I’ve been invited to visit as well as attend her child’s birthday ceremony 1. Can I still apply now either ways? Documents to submit; Passport PoF— Salary bank statement (3m balance) Employment document -offer,confirmation, -promotion,4month payslip, -introduction & leave letter Property valued at 32m Car vehicle registration Travel history— All stamps on passports(UK&multiple Italy) Business— CAC registration of 2 businesses Letter of invitation Dm friend— her Canadian passport her child’s Canadian passport, child’s birthday invite Purpose of trip—- SOP, flight, itinerary, my friends, tenancy agreement Clients info— LOE explaining previous visa refusal 2250 CAD FOR A 15 days trip, it covers flight, shopping and miscellaneous There’s also a placeholder where I have to upload PROOF OF RELATIONSHIP…. I really don’t know what to upload there…. Please help |

Totally agree. I applied for visa with closing balance of 105k although millions had been moving through it regularly. Didn't even realize as it was hubby's account and I told him to generate the statement. It was long after application I noticed. My visa was still granted. I may count it a stroke of luck but definitely not an advisable move. lakeside30: 1 Like |

You can't submit any supporting documentation after application. If it's really an issue you can withdraw your application and submit a fresh one. Joytitilayo: |

PLS DON'T SCROLL PAST!!! Hello house! 👋🏾 I'm back with a few questions. 1. I want to apply for visa for my child (less than a year). Am I to fill the representative form? 2. My spouse also wants to reapply (we applied same time last year but he was denied, I was granted) is it better for him to be the applicant for our child, or me seeing as I already have the visa. Bear in mind it is his financial documents that will be used as the proof of funds (just as it was the last time we applied), and he's the one that has family inviting us too. 3. Pls how can one make payments as I'm seeing from a few posts back that naira cards are no longer going through? 4. What additional documents will be beneficial to submit asides the regulars? 5. Also saw a few posts back that transmission fee is required for those already with biometrics if this is not going to be their first submission. How true is this? And if true, pls how do we go about it? Will greatly appreciate anyone with appropriate information. Thanks a lot. Like the Terminator, I will be back 😁 (with more questions after submission)! |

msbaileyz:Mine: 2m account balance, 1600 cad flight, 400 food/holding money, etc total 2350 cad. About 1.365m naira. Being denied once for insufficient assets to support stated purpose of visit. 5days visit. Do you think the pof is enough? About 1.4m naira, to remain 600k naira. 1 Like |

Zirconia16: No3 answer: download chipper card app and apply for a dollar card, then load it with money and pay for your application, you can get dollars from them at parallel market rate or send dollars to your dollar card which costs $3. Voila. |

lakeside30: This is how we mislead each other. Some people are here in Nigeria giving false information. Guys will be scared if you see the rate they are denying applicants, but most people in the camp have a backup plan. More reason they advise people in the camp to save their money so they can seek alternative options in case of anything. |

Pamda1234: I think your POF is not sufficient, you should have atleast more than your travel budget cost left in your account, I guess 1 Like |

Gud evening house, my wife was refused last year from study visa, we are about to apply for visitor visa as a couple together this time and she will be a primary applicant due to her federal govt job which will be listed as part of the home ties although I'm the one having a family (cousin) inviting us. My first question now is that i hope there's no issue of her being a primary applicant since I'm the one having family inviting us, Secondly can she apply with the previous new portal profile she opened during a study visa or I should create a new user name for this visitor visa. |

1. Yes (Even if husband is applying for both of them) 2. I’d suggest he apply for both of them, the invitation letter from his family should be for him and his Brother/Sister’s Niece/nephew(your child). 3. The family member can pay from Canada and he can send the naira equivalent to him/her. 4. In addition to the invitation letter, his Sister/brother can send her/his Canadian statement of account if he/she is cool with it stating she will co-sponsor. 5. Reach out to vfs via chat/email/call for accurate information Cheers Ma Zirconia16: |

msbaileyz:I was thinking that, but then it doesn't say that anywhere on their websites. Only that applicant must have money large enough to cover the costs of the travel. Applicant must have ties, which I submitted an investment statement with a 1 million investment in my workplace, 935k staff savings and joint ownership of a land worth 3m naira. I also submitted employment contracts, pay stubs, affidavits etc |
