This write up is an insult to Rufia.
It is like saying AFCON 94 semi finals and finals exposed Yekini too. Missing sitters upon sitters against Ivory Coast and Zambia. It was the same Rufai that saved our blushes in that Semi finals penalty shoot out!
At the World Cup apart from his goal against Bulgaria Yekini did nothing else. Even missed a sitter in extra time against 10 men Italy. I can't forget that miss. Worse than Yakubu's miss against Korea!
Kog45:
Remember Chief we had this conversation regarding Peter Rufai….The best of Rufai was 1982-1989…Rufai of 1990 - 1996 was struggling but goalkeeper trainer then did a good job…Rufai of 1996-1998 was off totally.

Wilfred Agbonavbare was instrumental for our 1994 WC qualification and did nothing wrong but Nigeria fans don’t want to see Agbonavbare in goal even kids then who didn’t know the reason why he was called Agbonibasket hate seeing him in goal posts.

Agbonavbare against all odds from nowhere was doing it in La liga and this forced Westerhoff to invite him and did well but was later relegated to the bench for no reason.

Rufai came and got number one back but Afcon 94 semi final and final exposed Rufai but the goalkeeper trainer then did a good job by instructed that all the tall players must be inside box during corner kicks to avoid Afcon mistakes and it worked out during WC.

After 1994 WC Rufai was done but injury to Ike Shorunmu brought Rufai back and the love fans had for Rufai was huge.1998 WC really messed up Rufai career….so what you saw in ex internationals match was Rufai of 1998.

Relieve Chukwueze of his defensive duties and see him explode! What a goal!

Theo not putting Chukwueze through on goal for his 2nd with an open net is criminal!

Leicester's 3rd goal should belong to Ndidi. It went off his knee and into the net. Without that deflection it would have been a easy save for the keeper

Those were the same shots people (including Osimhen grin) were angry he was taking. For me when I see Samu sky a chance like that, it is almost like seeing Steph Curry miss a 3 pointer. I know he is capable of making them so I don't really get upset.

If they had won 3 - 1, would it had made any difference on qualifications to the round of 16? If it was, that defender needs to be punished

An italian journo asked Leo, Osimhen, Dilorenzo, Lobotska, and Maignan who is the best Seria A player last season.
All selected Osimhen except his two teammates.
I do think that is what should be trending not Amunuke's ...

Now I know why Osimhen does not acknowledge them in his speech!

Osimhen is nothing short of an enigma not just surviving such hostile environment by going on to becoming the 8th best player in the world and the best on the continent! Wow!

How does he cope? No parents, hateful media, jealous teammates etc. How?

Osimhen is not an ordinary chap. Akanda omo ni! Awon agba nikan lo maye!!

This is just the beginning for him!

Our support means a lot to him! You could see he appreciate it a lot by mentioning Nigerians many times in his speech!
Osimhen you shall never go down in Jesus name! Amen!!
God bless you for this write up boss 🙌🏾 These are the reasons why I love Osimhen, nothing left out 🥶

Victor Osimhen new deal at Napoli will include huge salary rise; Nigerian striker is gonna be one of the best paid players in the history of the club.

New deal will be valid until June 2026, one more year as reported yesterday.

Release clause already valid in 2024.

Napoli reach an agreement in principle with Victor Osimhen on new contract with release clause included!

It will be valid until June 2026, one more year.

Final value of the clause, TDB — could be around €130m as per Sky.

Official announcement expected soon.
Why can't this guy just leave for chelsea, a club that needs and will appreciate him more.

Why should he go to Chelsea? You want African footballer of the year not to play European football? In addition to possible point deduction for financial fair play sanctions and even relegation, Chelsea should be the last club he ought to consider except he doesn't take his career serious at this point.

How Antwerp could give UCL opportunity to a player that is on loan in a dead-rubber tie baffles me.

They just gave mans the biggest PR of his career.

"Chidera Ejuke vs Barcelona ⚽️

- Most Dribbles Completed (9)

Iwobi and Ejuke testament of what good coaching can do to a player's career.

Iwobi improved attacking aggression and off-the-ball movement.
Now attempts more shots than any other time in his career. Almost 3 times more than his everton days.
Now makes more touches in opposition box than his time at Everton. Highest since Arsenal days.
Has more expected goals in 8 starts for Fulham than 38 starts for Everton last season.

Ejuke improved technique and decision-making
Has 4 more shots on target in 8 games this season (2 starts) than 20 games for Hertha Berlin last season.
Has highest shooting accuracy in his career.
Technique has been bettered so much that he now takes corner kicks and shoots from half-way line.
Attempts two times more passes per match than any other time in his career.

Respect. Very myopic question.

But still, same league goals as starboy Doku, Brazilian roborista Martinelli, technical master Szoboszlai, Ronaldo regen Rashford,

One less than English genius Maddison, captain Portugal Bruno Fernandes.

All in less appearances. Since GA is your tonic.

I'm not sure where the g/a question factors into this. The guy only highlighted the improvement in some areas he was lacking. If his current performance level continues to increase, it's only a matter of time before the g/a starts piling up.

Chief icon4s will understand my point better cuz we discussed on how Rufai came back and took over from Agbonabvre who did nothing wrong.

Chief icon4s was of opinion that Rufai deserved number one but I was of opinion that Wilfred should have remained number one.

I'm talking about Rufai not Yekini here sir.
