It's normally eaten with white beans.

It’s an extinct Yoruba meal . Never survived the late 90’s because it takes about 7 hours to cook wasting gas, time & energy.
It’s called Egbo. Hence the slang E yéé ririn mere sègbo. Meaning, don’t bother with distance likened to the nature of that time wasting meal.

I ate that white portion back when I was little and living in Ibadan. Didn't like the texture in the mouth.

Cooking egbo is like cooking stone ,the thing no Dey cook on time .

You only need to dry the maize and grit into smaller particles and cooked for 10-12 hours. Its quite easy to make.
