Well it's obvious they're not. They were sad due to facts written in these Bible verses:

Again I turned my attention to all the acts of oppression that go on under the sun. I saw the tears of the oppressed, and there was no one to comfort them. Due to all these wickedness a faithful servant of God asked God directly:

Your eyes are too pure to look on what is evil, And you cannot tolerate wickedness. Why, then, do you tolerate the treacherous And keep silent when a wicked man swallows up someone more righteous than he is? Habakkuk 1:13

Well all these are the reasons why our Master, Lord and King Christ Jesus sent us out to tell honest hearted and sincere individuals who are experiencing all it all that there is a plan to end all badness {Psalms 37:7-11} blessed are those who mourn, since you will be comforted! Matthew 5:4

So nobody came from a holy origin if Abraham came from a dark origin what matters is how well not how far.
Jesus of Nazareth is a Jew and Jewish people are the most stubborn and wicked people if we are to go by their history yet Jesus came from that race.
So calm down and learn if you don't understand certain things, i got converted to become one of Jehovah's Witnesses as that's the one and only true religion on this planet.
