It's simple logic that even a ten year old can explain to you. Hamas' ultimate goal is to defend Gaza (or let me say themselves only). That's all that it has to gain in this conflict while Israel is trying to murder as many people as possible while seizing new territories. Even if Hamas kills all the IDF terrorists in Gaza, they'll gain nothing except bragging rights while Israel's victory means more deterrence, more security deals, and more territories. It's mostly a lose-lose situation for Hamas.
