Check that you installed a good quality brake pad and it's the exact type meant for your car.
Check the anti-rattle pins, and check the dust shield behind the brake discs

This is concerning Toyota matrix. Brakes are soft when engine is off. Someone said its not normal that it's supposed to be hard when engine is off. Is this a concern and what is needed to be done.

Please I need help here. My car doesn't start at once every morning. I will have to start it like 3 times before it will pick. Sometimes it jerks. After that it will not happen throughout the day until the next morning. This was not like that before I recently changed the engine oil. What could be the problem. Car is Kia carens 2003.

You repaired or replaced?

Pls check steering rack for leaks, p/s hose for leaks, if they're bad, replace them, then replace pump with a very good unit.

Edit: how do you repair fuel pump?

If it's bad or weak, you replace it.

Have a competent technician check and diagnose it. It could be ECT sensors that is failing or crankshaft sensor or even fuel line that loses pressure in the line.

Just last week i gave the technician 15k for the repair of the steering pump but i discover the steering handle is still hard when am turning to the side or reversing

If you can get genuine brand new unit, go for it. Avoid Chinese cheap quality pump. Good quality tokumbo are hard to get because most are reworked.

If you still have little vacuumed air in the brake booster, then it's fine for it to be a bit soft even with engine off. But it shouldn't remain soft but hard after you pump it once with engine off.

Change AC technician. You have leak in the system.

Someone recommended I change my oil but my oil life is 80% as at writing this post

Please any advice on what to do and also how can I get that Abs, it seems to be difficult where I stay

When it becomes hard, press and hold and see if it drops pressure and goes down. If it doesn't, then you're fine.
But if the pressure drops then there's a problem with your brake system.

Get a proper scanner, drive the car for some minutes, then park, and rescan the car while it's idling to find out the cause of the check engine light.

As for the oil life, if you recently changed oil and its later showing 80%, don't drain and refill, instead, allow it to go down to about 10-5%
