nedu666:That's what being cosmopolitan is all about, opening up to diversity and far from being a cluster of village clans. This ain't 1920, you need knowlege transfer and indigenous advancement in the 21st century and that's why Ogun state is the emerging economy right next to Lagos. Every advanced and emerging economies understand this facts and that's why you flood over there, imagine them shutting their doors at your face if they were as closed minded as you are. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

PressMyButton: You are just blowing useless grammar. Which knowledge transfer and indigenous advancement is taking place in ogun. Is it the same ogun where agbara and ota industrial estate have bad roads, the same places that all factories have heavy generators for production when numerous gas issues come up. It's obvious you have not been to ogun state 1 Like |

gidgiddy: Except the Port built in 1923 by the brutish, Nigeria didn't do anything for Port Harcourt, instead Port Harcourt has been doing for Nigeria. And you stylishly omitted Enugu and Aba which were built by the British and Enugu even made the capital of the Eastern regional government. Please endeavour to come with clean hands. 1 Like |

chopnaira:Countries that have experienced far worse have risen above the ruins, not sulking and remain stagnated on the past. Even before the war, igbos have never really stayed back home much less build a nerve centre. Remember, they were scattered across region taking up indigenous slots. There's never been a conscious effort to build their home. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Aba is a very cosmopolitan city and so is Owerri, Umuahia, Onitsha, Abakaliki and Awka cause I guess the OP means cities developed with little government assistance so I didn't include Enugu and Port Harcourt. 1 Like |

BeautifulMind2:Dude, i'm not the type you dump a 30secs Youtube videos to know what's going on in the southeast. There's nothing going on there. How many local companies do you have?, there are more hotels in southeast than there are factories. Can those few indigenous products compete?, how far do they go beyond the SE?. You need to emphasize more on a commercial city for the entire southeast than glorifying local villages. 2 Likes 1 Share |

PressMyButton: Oga shut the Bleep up First what did you mean by cosmopolitan city Because the last I checked onistha has almost joined with Owerri, in less than 50 years from now the would be referred as one city! Let's come to ABA There are alot of foreigners especially Cameroonians, people from Niger, and other Africa countries leaving in ABA! So your point exactly? Except Lebanese and Chinese, citizens of other countries are not residing in Ibadan, meaning ABA and onistha are more cosmopolitan than south west expect Lagos axis 4 Likes |

PressMyButton: The grass is always greener. You want Lagos, but you don't want makoko. Igboland has the most even distribution of development nearly anywhere in the world. No where is Lagos, but nowhere to Makoko, and all of the villages are steadily climbing with each other. We have the best region in Nigeria specifically because of the way we do things, and there's no point in switching because...idk, you still haven't named the benefit of being any other way. Also, even if we had New York in the east, people will still travel out. Nothing will change that. It's not as if we're specifically going to places to be more comfortable. Many are going to worst places than where they left because it's our nature to reach a certain age and travel out and has been so for hundreds of years. 3 Likes |

PressMyButton:you don't have to like it now, you only have to like it when you are man enough to call for a referendum and stay in your own country. It is the only thing that will earn you the right to choose who stays with you. Until then, you can't eat your cake and have it. We will continue to keep you frustrated and dominate you in Lagos while still expanding our numerous and vibrant Igbo cities across SE/SS. Ronu people despite faking history as city builders, ironically have no single city to their credit while the Igbos they mock enjoy all the semblance of urban life. Kiss the truth! 5 Likes 2 Shares |
