Christistruth00:You lack reasoning seriously. Even the Calabar, how many years were they capital of Nigeria? If Asaba was once capital of Nigeria, how many years was she the capital and what year, period was that compared to the era of Lagos state? And again now,are you now saying Asaba (in delta state,Niger Delta) is Igbo? I'm saying this cos you people always call the Igbos "attachee by force as far as the Niger Delta Igbos are concerned 2 Likes |

BeautifulMind2:This is a dustbin article. Onitsha is no where close to Kano as a commercial center much less being the commercial center of Nigeria. Onitsha is just a small town like Oshodi, the commercial activities in both places are almost alike. |
Re: Do Igbos Have The Ability To Build A Commercial Center Or Cosmopolitan City by Iceberg3: 7:35am On Dec 30, 2023 |
PressMyButton:If you have any reasoning at all,you won't compare Onitsha with a whole Kano. Kano and Lagos are the nerve centers of the north and west and everyone knows, even my dog too, they know the patronage these place get from the federal government as against other places. 1 Like |

Iceberg3:That's why i insist that igbos arguing do not understand the meaning of commercial nerve center or a cosmopolitan city, otherwise they won't be mentioning Aba or Onitsha. And there's nothing like patronage from the FG for Lagos or Kano or PH, every states receives its own share of allocations from the center. |

PressMyButton:what commercial center do Igbos want to build in the east aside Onitsha and Nnewi. All Igbos cannot be at home, they must go outside to hustle, even Jesus Christ left his place of birth before he started performing miracles . I don't think there's any commercial center in the country that is bigger than Onitsha and Nnewi except Lagos due to its functional seaports. 1 Like |

coputa:This is 2024 already, you guys should stop all this dirty beer parlor gossips. Do SE has any commercial or trade volume close to Kano or PH?, does Kano have a seaport?.. By first week of January, y'all would flee SE back to where you sweat it out, while SE becomes deserted. I haven't seen any nation or tribe succeed this way. |

BeautifulMind2:You forget that the hide & skin you use in making those Aba shoes is a supply from the North?, and 98% of agricultural goods you resell in those markets comes from the North. If the trucks coming from Kano alone shut you out, you're in trouble. |

BeautifulMind2:I told you to stop showing me these Youtube shortclips, i know the southeast very well. If they supply the raw materials and they pick up some sandals in their trucks going back, is any bad in that?. Like i said, Onitsha or Aba is like a small town as the average Oshodi or Ikeja where market activities take place. Igbo need something bigger and better, a state-like, not these glorified mushrooms but mass migration cannot make it happen. |
Re: Do Igbos Have The Ability To Build A Commercial Center Or Cosmopolitan City by coputa(m): 9:04am On Dec 30, 2023 |
PressMyButton:landlocked kano state is never a commercial hub centre compared with Lagos with it's functional seaports;no thanks to western politicking. Kano state gets all their goods from Lagos ditto Anambra state (Onitsha) the big difference is that the Ibos are the major importers even the major warehouses in Kano state are owned by the Ibo's. I repeat, all Igbos cannot afford to come back home, they can build up their home from their base and that's what is happening in Onitsha and Nnewi which is unarguably servicing the whole south south region |

PressMyButton:You know nothing about Onitsha metro doesn't end along express Anu, if you thoroughly know Onitsha you will not be posting this, it clearly shows you are empty Upper Iweka is like Oshodi, it's easier for many Northern states to buy goods from Onitsha same with Southsouth than going to Lagos, Abuja is very close to Onitsha than Lagos Port Harcourt is three hours to Onitsha than Lagos, Onitsha is commercial nerve center |
