The thing is that if it comes to local investment south eastern states will come second, third, fourth, and fifth after Lagos.

The stretch of road where I live only this year
Roban mall opend, Chicken rebublic opend,. Crunchies opend with another eatry that I can't remember the name with a hotel. These are in one road oo , about 5 other businesses are warming up along that road maybe by next year.
That's a good thing. But I have a different idea of good local investments/production.
I was just thinking the other day NAFDAC bursted some people producing fake products and I was like, why not just create a brand instead of counterfeiting? Aba for instance, should be famous for being home to many indigenous locally owned manufacturing industry, not for fake products. The North should be feeding the whole of Africa instead of being the hotbed of terrorism.
If we have some reasonable levels of self-sufficiency, the value of naira depreciating would be the least of our problems.
We need deliberate efforts to develop our human capital in the area of science, technology, most importantly, in agricultural researches that would lead to breakthroughs.
If I had the power, only science courses would be offered in our schools for the next 50 years.

Congratulations to Abia

Although you did that because you believe you could score some cheap points with it, however I'm glad you now acknowledge the fact that the ways with which your people go about with your Biafra agitation can be detrimental to you people. If it doesn't affect foreign investment, it's definitely affecting other areas. If those areas are brought to your attention, I hope you won't shy away and contradict yourself.

Also, I'm still wondering why you exclude Lagos while referring to "all southwest states" when Lagos is as a matter of fact, part of Southwest. I guess admitting that would give you high BP 😂

Typical omo ibo thinking pattern 😂

they have been using that statement to deceive their GUILIBLE self... Assive lagos will be part of biafra later in the future...lagos is southwest ... Southwest is LAGOS....

Of course, every Yoruba is from Lagos, Nigeria's noman's land. Who would accept to be from decayed slums that liter the sadwaste.

Ogun state is a grossly underdeveloped state. The only thing of worth is the industries built on the outskirts of Lagos. Abeokuta looks like a relic from 1870's. Ota, Agbara etc are all shanty towns with terrible roads and poor houses. The entire state is in shambles. As for Ibadan, over 90% of the people live in slums without indoor plumbing. That's why open defecation is the norm there.

If only you guys will travel out of that rusted roofs region and see how other regions of Nigeria has left you behind, you won't be here deceiving yourself.

bros nothing dey South East u hailed from . Stop fooling your GUILIBLE self...

This is not argument. What did you read in the news and what did you deduced? What you deduced differed from what the news content says. Why not rather counter the news by bringing out your own piece and statistics that will portray NBS as liars, since you know more than them.
Well, I won't blame you too much, you may forget your eye glasses at home. Read below the extract from the news.

"The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) disclosed this in its latest capital importation report for the third quarter (Q3) of 2023 released on Friday.

Capital importation can be explained as bringing in capital from abroad to fuel investment, trade, and manufacturing within a country.

Nigeria’s capital imports for the first nine months of 2023, comprising Q1 – Q3 totalled $2.82 billion, with $1.13 billion imported in Q1, $1.03 billion in Q2 and $654.65m in Q3 2023.

The number of states that did not record investments dropped from 28 states in the first half of 2023 to 27 in the first nine months after Abia attracted a remarkable $150.09 million in Q3 – the only state to witness such a dramatic turnaround within three months"

Read the last paragraph and read it keenly. It said, the only state to witness such a dramatic turnaround within three months. Within three months for emphasis or better still you can go home to pick up your glasses because the news doesn't go down with you. Note, I am not from Abia, neither am I an Igbo. I only rejoice in good thing and the betterment of the nation.

Foreign investment = investing while having white skin. Regardless of what the investment is

I am from Imo. My brother-in-Law who is in the US has built a hotel. This is not a foreign investment. If my white neighbor builds the same hotel in the same place, it becomes foreign investment. And the foreign investment is automatically be consider more of a good thing.

When African build businesses in the US and Europe, is it called foreign investment?

Do you want us to educate on what foreign investment is all about or you are trying to tell us you know better
