Joint Security Operation Rescues 24 Kidnapped Victims In Kogi State by pheelbert: 11:39am On Dec 31, 2023 |
A successful collaboration between the Kogi State Police Command, the military, and local vigilantes has resulted in the rescue of 24 individuals who were kidnapped within the Adogo axis, under the Ajaokuta Local Government Area of the State on Friday, December 29, 2023. The valiant efforts of the security agencies led to the safe recovery of the victims, as confirmed by the Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Mr. Bethrand Onuoha. The Commissioner highlighted the swift and effective action taken by the security forces in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP William Ovye Aya in Lokoja, obtained by DAILY POST on Sunday. The statement narrated the sequence of events, stating that following the increase in kidnapping activities along the Ajaokuta-Adogo-Okene road, a combined team comprising the Area Commander Ajaokuta, ACP Ayodele Ola Arogbo, and personnel from the police, military, and local vigilantes, promptly responded to the situation. Their concerted efforts led to the rescue of three victims, including a student from the Comprehensive High School, Ajaokuta. Furthermore, an additional tactical squad, including the Quick Response Unit, was deployed to bolster the rescue operation. Led by SP Sule Musa, the Divisional Police Officer of Ajaokuta Division, the team remained steadfast in their mission, ultimately ensuring the safe recovery of the remaining victims. https://mediatalkafrica.com/139906/joint-security-operation-rescues-24-kidnapped-victims-in-kogi-state/ 1 Like

Good one by the our security agency but in all honesty this is just one of too many kidnappings going on in the country...The people in govt that swore an oath to protect suddenly behave as if it's none of their business after they gotten power. While don't govt make a scape goat from those who carry out the act regardless the tribe or region and watch how this criminal element crumble. 3 Likes |

Nigerian politicians have succeeded in turning Nigeria to Afghanistan. They'll be consumed by the insecurity when the time comes. Keep stealing and stashing it abroad and inside soak away instead of building factories and schools and hospitals. Your flesh will be eaten by the people when they become hungry poor and frustrated enough 4 Likes |

I'm not at all impressed. All this Special Forces collaborating ... and this is all they did? ... rescued 24 victims? How many of the kidnappers did they arrest or kill? We can assume zero. It seems to me a ransom was paid and the forces were told where to locate the victims. They did not even mention the forces engaged the kidnappers in a fierce firefight but the superior firepower of our gallant officers killed two while the others fled into the bushes with gunshot wounds. 1 Like |

Kidnapping is one of the legacies of precolonial Nigeria. We know it as slave raiding to fuel the slave trade . |

Rubbish. Their format is clear. The terrorist in the sham forces and their associates, get some toys from other terrorists countries - remember some weird arms deliveries that comes at weird intervals?, then they steal some from Nigerian stash, then attack a minority area or any targeted areas that they want to displace. After a while, they either put mannequins around some bushes that they blast, or slowly release some victims like terrorist hamas; then they turn to western Christian nations for funds, that they will spend amongst themselves and also use to support their terrorist activities. Then they they do it all over again. |

Chikel20000: Full time sleeper has spoken. Read the room. You think say them dey play with you. It is many times than not, a systematic action. Soon, you will understand that, it is an expansionist fight by the terrorist, a resources control fight - the terrorist wants it all, and a world power assistance fight - the terrorist want to win Nigeria for the arabs, that will then use it to bargain with Russia for modern toys and their overall strengthening. But God pass them. The great region will intensify and deepen relations with the great state of Israel, and other great nations in the world. Remember, the terrorist are marathon planners, as in long term planners. So, seek peace, stay humble, but stop being naive. |
