There is a video on the Pro Russian Telegram channel - Intel Slavia Z that was captured by a Russian drone showing Ukrainian Barrier Troops firing at retreating regular Ukrainian forces who were fleeing their trenches following a Russian assault.

The Ukrainian government and NATO have been denying the existence of barrier troops deployed by the AFU in their ongoing suicidal war with Russia.

Barrier Troops were first used by the Red Army in WW2 and were composed mainly of the dreaded CHEKAs who were mostly Bolshevik Jews.

Barrier Troops as the name implies are a rear sited force whose only objective is to prevent soldiers from retreating. They are there to kill their own soldiers.

1. Russian armed forces enter the trenches of a stronghold;
2 The AFU fighters flee from it to the next stronghold;
3. They are met by a barrage of their own Ukrainian soldiers who destroy the group;
4. One of the Ukrainian soldiers breaks free and tries to escape;
5. A Ukrainian barrier unit shoots him in the back;
6. A Russian kamikaze drone destroys a Ukrainian barrier unit.

Frontline troops of the AFU are always civilian conscripts that are barely trained beyond firing a rifle .

They are shipped to their trench position and handed an assault rifle and a mag.

There are no radios in the trenches and the commanders who are comfortably far away from the front communicate directly to the barrier troops who pass hand written commands via tunnels to frontline troops.

The reason there are no radios in the front is because the Russians are constantly broadcasting to the troops to surrender and tell them they will guide them through the heavily mined field that seoerates both armies.
