No Increase in PMS Prices, NNPC Ltd. Assures Nigerians

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. assures the public that there is no imminent increase in the cost of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol.

NNPC Ltd. urges Nigerians to disregard unfounded rumours and assures them that there are no plans for an upward review of the PMS price.

Motorists nationwide are advised against engaging in panic buying, as there is presently ample availability of PMS across the country.

Believe this at your own risk.
Might be a way to caution panic buying and hoarding.
Another press release why they hiked the price will follow up

Believed them at your peril

The last time I checked, fuel pump price moved from between N595 and N620 per liter to between N670 and N700 per liter without any statement from NNPCL

Not good enough. The price should come down. They should make all our refineries work and stop importing refined products. The price should drop if they do that.

This NNPCL, I thought that they have now been privatized. How come they are still responsible for determining what happens as regards fuel price and other crude oil matters?
Can someone explain this scam me? Because I’m not understanding
