there arre criminals all over the world. but because of our diversity, we tend to loud out our crimes like we the only criminal out there. the media used nigeria man cos he commited fraud but they tagged okonjo iwela american citizens when she attained global fame. nigeria has strong media presence globally. we can use it to white light our crimes while we condemn it at home.

you know say your money na disabled, you cun go put am for pitch. Go play for court house. Now the Nigerian bankers and authorities will rush any of your money in the bank, then foreign countries will seize the ones in their jurisdiction.

The young man is originally from Onicha Ugbo in Aniocha North LGA of Delta State (very close to the Yoruboid-speaking Ugbodu and other Olukumi towns that share direct boundaries with Esanland in Edo State, and Ika North East LGA of Delta State). Many folks from that area indeed live in Lagos and Ibadan, or have relatives living in Lagos/Yorubaland, hence they speak Yoruba fluently and marry Yorubas as well. Ibe Kachiku the former Minister of State for Petroleum too was born and raised in Lagos (and is also from Onicha Ugbo where he is the Odogwu or one of the high chiefs of the town). I read somewhere that there was even a migration of some Olukumis to settle in one of the 4 quarters of Onicha Ugbo (Ogbekenu).

So, the desire to identify with Lagos State, his land of birth will always be there. However his association with fraudulent manipulation of his company records is a BIG let down.
