Great movie; a must watch..

However, she shouldn't have given it that title, especially when the movie didn't in anyway portray Christ..

I really like how Funke always mix all tribes in her movies, she is a wise woman with vision. Although, most times, it's usually those in the trenches that are being deceived or used as tools for tribal wars. Even here on nairaland, the poor and the struggling middle class are always at each other's throats on this cheesy..

In all, congratulations to Akin Funke (she could get an Oscar nomination for this), next deputy governor, Lagos state cool...

She’s already Great and doesn’t need an Oscar for validation until we accept our local award as the best the better for us

Most of us that defend the Yoruba race are NOT POOR. I dont know about you guys. Reno Omokri, A NON-YORUBA MAN has also extolled the value of the yoruba people several times.

You can say that again. In yorubaland , Father and son can be opponent during election, it doesn't change the status.

High gross does not equate to high profit. Her real profit might be less than thirty percent of this amount. She must have paid heavily, like heavily for her movie to be shown during this holiday period. Doesn't mean the movies are good.

Don't be deceived, More than 95% of nollywood fans have never been to the cinemas but watch nollywood movies everyday.

Stop talking nonsense here. You think you are talking to your deluded kinsmen in your region.
Tinubu and Obi won states in the North. Obi and Atiku won states in the SW. Obi, Tinubu and Atiku won states in the SS. But the SE gave their entire votes to Obi, nothing for those from other tribes. Yet, you are opening your diseased mouth to talk rubbish.

Even the Peter Obi you talked about, he called ACN an Awolowo party when he was Governor. If we call LP an Ojukwu party now, you will start crying. Useless people.
You Igbos are tribalists and we are ready to play the game. You see this tribalism game you Igbos do, we ready for una. You will see shege.

shocked

Although I don't follow developments in the entertainment industry (bad of me) but I remember watching "omo ghetto" (a complete Yoruba movie) and the main actor (actress) was Miss Funke.

Congratulations to her, it's funny how I didn't even know Nollywood was very popular all over Africa and the world — people like pawpaw, aki, Mr ibu, osufia, and etc are known all over Africa. I was amazed!

So the government just keeps watching like losers instead of grabbing the opportunity to spread our influence all over Africa through music, movies, and then hit them with Nigerian made products. Imagine Nigeria becoming the China of Africa...

I swear, it's either black people are just not... I mean, are these guys humans at all?

Nice one from her in the creative department. I enjoyed her role very much in I need to know and she hasn't disappointed eversince. But On the gross milestone, are we talking about the same naira that has lost its value to half its previous strength?!.

Even at just 20% of the 1billion naira, lot of money has been made already. How much profits do American blockbusters rake in?

I did not bother to read up your nonsense you posted as reply.
So anyone that condems tribalistic post/comments is now from igbo extraction..
You see how childish you are?
For your information , I am from Delta state and we will never be a part of Biafra rubbish
But as old as you are and claim to be,
you are still behaving like a kid.
If I were d owner of nairaland, kids like you wont exist here.
All you guys do here is to whimp up tribal sentiments.
