The operative word here is: "ח֣וּג", (khoog), meaning circle, vault, horizon, circuit, or compass.

Is a vault a 2-dimensional object? No!
Does a horizon occur on a flat surface? No! (The very fact that ancient Hebrew had a word defined as "horizon", proves that those speaking it, knew that the earth is not flat.)
Therefore, this word is not constrained to describing 2-dimensional objects, so:

"It is he that sitteth upon the globe of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as locusts: he that stretcheth out the heavens as nothing, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in."—Isaiah 40:22 (Douay-Rheims Bible, the Catholic contemporary of the KJV)

Ancient languages didn't have a separate word for sphere, any more than they had a concept of zero. (Modern Hebrew is irrelevant, because it's a completely different language.) Ancient languages had to make do with words that also meant, "circle".

Additional insight is available from the book of Job, which was written earlier than Isaiah:

"He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing."—Job 26:7 (KJV)

In Job's poetic language, the north indicates the night sky, which "stretcheth out" from the north pole, around which it rotates.

The knowledge that the sky appears to rotates around a place that is so far displaced from directly overhead, but that the axis of rotation was not level with the ground, and that the sun never quite appeared overhead at noon, were clues that if one were far enough to the north on the surface of the earth, the sky would appear to rotate directly overhead, but one's position on the surface of the earth must be tilted to the north from Job's location. Therefore, a mind sharp enough to correctly observe these things should deduce that the earth was not a 2-dimensional object, but round in all directions.

How else would he have deduced that the earth hangs upon nothing, at a time when other people were making up nonsense stories about the earth riding upon the backs of elephants or turtles?

When translated comprehensibly, verse 10 is even more impressive:

'“He has inscribed a circle on the surface of the waters
At the boundary of light and darkness."'—Job 26:10 (NASB)

"He marks out the horizon on the face of the waters
for a boundary between light and darkness."—Job 26:10 (NIV)

Whether one recognizes the circular division of day from night as describing the boundary between light and dark hemispheres, or as a horizon, (which presumes the curvature of the earth), that the earth is a globe is inescapable

I seriously doubt that guy is a doctor. The gaffs he makes in field of medicine shows he's severely deficient in medical knowledge.
Even nursing student would not make such mistakes.
