I don’t think this is true, but the challenge is you may not get the kind of job you want at first. So, you may need to menial jobs for a while just to pay your bills. Bill is another challenge, but if you can double your hustle then you will see the bill as a normal thing. The plan is worth is on the long run but it can be very devastating at the beginning.

Stop saying trash!

The guy is not better than dishwashers in Nigeria

Our drivers and gatemen live in their own houses here and drive their own cars. At least I know of the ones in my office.
you must be out of ur mind to say the guy is not better than a driver/gatemen in Nigeria. Can u compare earning in foreign currency to the fuilty meagre naira? I believe the guy can even work different work shift in UK that's if he's a hard working hustler buh in Nigeria, such is hardly the case. Let him manage his finances well, he could end up having reasonable properties down here compared to what any average driver/gateman could own here in Nigeria.

Irrespective of ur claim that drivers and gateman earn well in ur work place and even own houses is just a mere saying without facts. hence, it's only the gullible and thoughtless that would believe u. Beside, getting a dishwasher work abroad is still miles easier and better than these abject slavery works in Nigeria.

Am not sure they are regretting oh... well not all if them. My sis that left August last year with her husband. They borrowed almost 5m total from different people. Now they have paid back that money and the husband has just bought a car for his junior brother to be doing Uber.

The bottom line is that, plan well before you leave o. No just comot any how, else you go see anyhow.
You've said it all. If you don't want to soil your hands in Nigeria, most graduates that joins most agencies gets around 130k for a month, which is lesser than £100 with the current exchange rate, and that's is less than a day money in UK. You just need to plan your journey well. God will help us all

how will any Nigerian spend 15m naira to go and work as a sweeper in the Uk I
resign goods jobs and go work in old peoples homes .in dorms
Save £1000 pounds per month from your job,by end of a year, you have already recouped your ₦15m,then from the second year, you would be living and spending large in Nigerian currency, buy lands etc

Don’t mind the liar.

People doing these menial jobs in UK always claim they earn good money, but they never tell you that 3/4 of the money is returned back to oyinbo via high rent and multiple bills.

And they can only manage to rent a small room there, when doing such jobs. Forget about flat or house.

You are so right. They're hardly able to save 10% of what they earn due to bills and rent

If I get millions lying fallow, I will just invest it in business here.

Meanwhile, I sell all kinds of new tyres for wholesale and retail prices.

Don't blame them rather blame the wicked politicians that came in just to destroy the economy. The way dollar is depreciating is the way a million naira is reducing it value. Why will someone float Naira and expect it not to lose value, to be honest with you, the real enemies of the country are those in government.

Yes ooh, they are regretting. Is that not what you want to hear? You expect them to tell you about their progress. Lol

Let me enlighten you a bit as a starter in UK.
Single person: The lowest job you get is £10.42/hr for 37.5 hours a week x4 = £1,470 after tax and NI for a month.

Monthly Bills:
Rent - £400 (single room)
Broadband and phone - £50
Water - £35
Food/groceries - £250
Electricity and Gas - £150
Transport - £90
Miscellaneous - let's say £100

Calculate it and tell me how much is saved for a menial job. Now convert it to Naira (lemfi).

Now imagine a couple working together.

If you like to argue this, please come with facts.

How much is 15 million naira again?
With £1 = 1,540 Naira. I laugh in Spanish.
Same people will still glorify Nigeria with all this headlines we read everyday coupled with all manner of atrocities you can think of.
Like what I quoted somedays back: banditry, corruption, police brutality, scammers, Yahoo boys, Armed robbery, ritualists, oil bunkering, boko haram, cultism, budget padding, embezzlement and so on....All in a country HAAA

Oga which kind dust be this naw, a dishwasher abroad and their counterpart here are the same, please what kind of joke is that, a dishwasher there is designated to wash dish alone but here, she will wash dish, serve customers, mob floors and still run some other odd errands for the boss and to crown it all will still be paid less than a minimum wage.A dishwasher abroad can afford to buy a car overthere with his/her savings in less than a year, what can an average dishwasher here save out of the pittance she is been paid. That guy is far better than alot of guys on a corporate job here, you can agree or disagree.

BS!

Nigerians hardly ever depend on their salary - especially the low income salary earners.

The tips dishwashers get alone daily dwarfs their montly pay by far.

Dishwashers here do buy their own cars too.

A dishwater is a dishwasher whether in UK or Nigeria. cheesy

You guys will never learn

What some dishwashers make daily from tips and the rest far dwarfs their monthly pay.
