There are many valid reasons someone may not have visited a place, unrelated to their interest or knowledge. Resources, circumstances, and access issues could prevent travel.
Interest and curiosity do not require physical presence. People can care about or want to learn about places they have not visited. Curiosity about other cultures and places is natural.
Discussions and exchanges of perspectives do not require first-hand experience. Dialogue is how we learn from each other. Claiming someone cannot discuss a place they haven't visited stifles open conversation.
So in summary, dismissing someone's perspective or right to discuss a place solely because they haven't visited relies on a flawed appeal to authority and flawed assumptions. Curiosity and learning do not require physical presence.
