Results under JP are erratic ..good and bad results sandwiched such that it's difficult to tell if the Portuguese clown is actually building something tangible.

I share your sentiments... I'm here thinking our current form won't matter given that we have shown that we can step up when people least expect..But Peseiro doesn't inspire me with confidence.. For one thing, he has shown that he doesn't want to switch the team lineup and tactic from the archaic 4-4-2 despite many proof that it doesn't work anymore... The man no sabi at all...
I like his optimism. He is the sliver of light in a dark room cos Omo the negative predictions here kills hope.

Moffi may automatically replace Boniface. As for Iheanacho, Tella might come in for him if he can't make it.

I thought they said he used 343 today.

Apparently he didn't want to switch because it's probably all he knows

IMO, 3-4-3 is more or less like 4-4-2 because in the end, we will be having 2 midfielders... the man just doesn't know anything.. Rohr was better than this..
I don't miss Rohr, and I never liked the idea of hiring Peseiro either, especially after I saw his CV

The atmosphere here is even better.. if you check Twitter and Facebook, you go give up... Today's result further heightened the pessimism

You know ball, it's still basically the same midfield set up, just difference in attack and difference, this is the first time I won't be raising my hopes going into a tournament with the GWG

Winning AFCON has never being about having a good coach! Its all down to who wants it the most, a little luck and some controversial officiating.
Do you know that Senegal was on its way out of the last AFCON group stage until that controversial last minute penalty against Zimbabwe? AFCON is not World Cup!

The Super Eagles will excel!

I find it quite surprising that older folks here are pessimistic about our chances. I can forgive the young ones, they might not be accustomed to the Nigerian spirit yet.

Nevertheless, the results of the last AFCON group stage should have convinced you what a Nigerian team is like.
Nobody gave us a chance against Salah's Egypt. Some were even predicting 4nil etc.
We all know how that played out. lol!

My post is not about optimism! It is about history!!

Might be a blessing in disguise if we call up another midfielder. Same thing with Kelechi.

Although Boniface is a big miss, I think we have enough firepower as is.

You're somewhat right but it depends on the tactical setup. Everything still boils down to how tactical savvy the coach is. The 442 we are all complaining about was the same formation Leceister used to win the league. We are just unlucky to have (like somebody said) a part-time palmwine tapper as our gaffer.

Maybe or Maybenot! We shall know in few days time!
Nevertheless! A team with Iwobi, Bassey, Zaidu, Aina, Onyeka, Onyedika, Aribo, Boniface, Lookman, Chukwueze, Simon, Ajayi, Bruno, Osayi, Kelechi and the current APOTY is one of the most formidable team any African country will face!

Nigerians have nothing to be anxious about! The Super Eagles will deliver!

My prayer is they all stay fit!!

My prayers is that the auto reverse mode which the country is in should not affect the team. Shikena.

A trophy winning team should be unbeatable all the time with a winning mentality . That is one attribute of Senegal and Algeria in Africa.
Same with France and Argentina

Nigeria is a joke of the century with it's basket goal keepers and a palm wine tapper having a part-time job as a P.E teacher coaching the team
