*A word of caution ⚠️* Do not chase any stock in such a market like we have now. The fear of missing out (FOMO) is a term used in the market to describe the feeling that you are missing out on the party in the market and therefore tempted to buy just any stock. Such an approach always ends in tears because you may end up buying too late just when a pull back is happening. In my expert opinion, the Nigerian stock market is going through a market correction due to the heavy devaluation the Naira which is the base currency for the NGX has suffered. In addition, inflation has hit every sector of the Nigerian economy and made everything twice as expensive as they were except the stock market. So this is why most stocks are rising even without fundamentals as stocks in the market are heavily underpriced. For the benefit of members of this club, I do my research on stocks way ahead of time and share them here early enough but it looks like it is not understood that way. I still get people asking what stocks to buy when all the hard work has been done and shared. Most of our members have bought most of these stocks rising today since they were shared or advised here some months and weeks back. I do the same when I share some stocks and hold for moments like this when I just sit back and enjoy the ride. Last month, I shared a contrary opinion against someone here who said he was waiting to buy in January because companies were inflating their share prices because of “end of year report” when I stated that there will be a bull run in January that whoever wants to buy should buy before January and here we are. Chasing a stock to buy because it is rising could lead you to catch a “falling knife “. Therefore, I advise all to stay calm and be composed and know what you are buying while sticking to your strategy because the market does not move on a straight line. There will be pull backs here and there, but in the long run, only the fundamentally strong stocks will prevail. Congratulations to all those who held back even when their portfolio was looking discouraging at some point. You were advised to not sell your Dangote Sugar, Eterna oil, Nascon, Unilever, MTNN, etc because we knew they were fundamentally sound stocks and will recover. Now you have your green portfolio back with those stocks. Warren Buffet once said “Like the Lord, the market helps those who help themselves; but unlike the Lord, it does not forgive those who know not what they are doing”. Enjoy your greener pastures abi portfolio.😅 EmperorCaesar:Yes, there's a group about https://chat(dot)whatsapp.com/JW0ewrYmYYw3JXoV17BU9a |
