Elvisu: Really?relying on your travel history for positive outcome when you didn't mentioned your other refusals?seriously, hmmm abeg raise a webform before your receive story that touched the heart. You think they overlook applicants not stating past refusal because of travel history. I hear you. |

Greetings and a happy new year to you all. I need some advise. I submitted for the visit visa on Aug 11th 2023 and did my biometrics on Aug 17th in Abuja. I missed a letter asking me for my passport which was sent to me on Nov 8th 2023- to be honest, I don't know how I missed seeing it in my email. I read the letter on Dec 12th 2023 but I was outside Nigeria. That day I sent a CIC form to the Lagos office requesting that I send my passport to a nearby Canadian consulate as I am not in Nigeria at the moment. Today I received a message with a 'refusal letter generic' stating that my application was refused because I did not submit my passport. Thank you for your interest in coming to Canada. I have reviewed your temporary resident visa (visitor visa) application and supporting documentation to assess whether you meet the requirements for a visitor visa (https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/ services/visit-canada/eligibility.html). This includes assessing whether you are coming to Canada temporarily for the reason(s) you describe in your application. I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/I-2.5/index.html) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) (https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/regulations/sor-2002-227/ index.html). I am refusing your application. • You have not complied with our request for information, per subsection 16(1) of the IRPA. To date, you have failed to comply with our request for submission of the following documents: Passport Please what can I do? Thank you in advance for your replies and advice. |

Send a reconsideration mail stating why you didn't sent your passport.. Send to these emails nrobi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca, nrobi-immigration@international.gc.ca, nairobi@international.gc.ca, lagos.immigration@international.gc.ca, abuja@international.gc.ca, abuja-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca And use the webform too https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=Nairobi Explain all in details, you were out of Nigeria and due to busy schedule, you didn't notice the email.. Just add and remove to your preference. 2 Likes |

Thank you so much for your reply. Is it okay for me to reply with a snapshot of my visa stamp showing that I am currently outside of Nigeria hence my request to submit it locally instead of Abuja where I originally did my biometrics? The webform I sent was to Lagos so this time around it is to Nairobi? Levels1: |

MY family Canada visitor visa was approved from london Uk and we are on a UK student visa Wife and two kids Application submitted on August 31, 2023 AND 5 years visitor approval September 15, 2023 ( just 10 business days ) Mine - Application submitted on September 27, 2023 AND 10 years visitor approval October 25, 2023 ) ( 22 business days ) Both of us acknowledged our U.S A. denials in 2017 and 2019. Initially, I failed to declare mine, prompting me to withdraw the application. Subsequently, I submitted a new application after completing a webform disclosing both the U.S. refusal and the cancellation of the initial application. In total, I submitted two webforms – the first addressing the U.S. refusal and the second addressing the application cancellation. Following that, I proceeded to submit a new application on September 27, 2023. We spent two weeks in Canada and have now returned to the UK. So you can wait it out, Or just cancel the application using a webform and reapplying again immediately good luck Deering1008: |

Seems like they’ve forgotten September applicants 🥺. Please is there anyone who applied for visit visa in September that has gotten a decision? My spouse’s graduation is in March and I pray I don’t miss it. I’m so anxious… |

dafeoroyo:My UK application was refused in May 2022 i think about 7 weeks after I had applied for Canadian Visa in March 2022. I didn't contact ircc about the refusal and I got my visa application approved in May 2023. |

Elvisu:I suggest you withdraw your application, do necessary corrections and reapply again. That way, you will avoid receiving letter of procedural fairness which may result in rejection, ban or with God, an approval. The choice is yours. All the best ✌️ |

Thank you once again. Ahh, I copied all those email addresses into one email (instead of separately so I hope that would be overlooked) and sent the same message to the Nairobi webform. I received an automatic response from about 6 of them. Levels1: 1 Like |

Good day, please I seek advice, I applied for tourist visa last year but was denied. I applied for GCMS note, the reason for denial was because of low financial balance and asset. I applied with a balance of 2.5M and I included my landed properties. My application was in July last year. I plan applying again, my balance is close to 4M. Will this be enough. My main expenses is flight ticket as a relative is inviting me. Secondly in the application, what is the amount to put in the section " WHAT AMOUNT DO YOU HAVE FOR THIS TRIP?". In my last application, I put 1500CAD. My duration of stay is 10days. Thank you. |

Re: Canada Visit/tourist Visa Discussion. by Ashirioluwa: 10:43am On Jan 09 |
Hemoghy2: Your 4 million naira is about 5900 CAD$, and whether this is enough or not will depend on many factors, like the number of days you're planning to stay, the cost of the plane ticket, feeding, and the hotel accommodation. It's good that you know why your application was denied; now you can work on how to resolve the issue before you apply again. With the high cost of a plane ticket, it's better to have a fat account when packaging Canada visa, and this was the point I tried to pass across to one of us @pamda1234 recently when he claimed 2200 CAD was ok to package a Canadian visa application. Don't get me wrong, I have seen people who got their visas with an unbelievable amount in their bank accounts, but it is a big risk, especially if you don't have a good travel history. |

I had my biometrics last week Tuesday(2) and it show eligibility completed on the tracker yesterday. I qualify for the Can+ category cos of my Us visa. Just wondering if anyone has an idea. Thanks |

Please I want your take on this. I applied for Uk student visa for September intake but I withdrew my application after a month as it was being delayed and my latest date for arrival passed by over 2 weeks. I was to submit a new application for same school and course in January but fortunately for me I received a scholarship I had applied for early last year. I received the scholarship in November so I decided to pursue the program and school where the scholarship covers. I have applied for visa now for this new course and school, does my previously withdrawn application has anything to do with this new one ? Especially as it’s a totally different program |
