In this era wey bank no dey regard NOK, why not kukuma just give the money to the wife instead of making her go through the hardship of getting the money from the bank?

I will still go and deposit it!! How much be 5 meter?? grin grin

Even if the money is 5 billion!! People underestimate the power of peace of mind!

In 2014, 1.6mil was erroneously transfered to my account, I couldn't sleep till I went to the bank to notified them. cool

The money came into my account from Seven up plc

The best thing is deposit it in the account he asked u. Not even advisable taking the money by cash to any member of the family. The reason is, the said cash could have been an official money, could be your corporation know already that u have the cash to go send it to the account....

Just do what's right the right way!

It is better to take the money to his wife with document, because after the death of a person, it will take some months before the family can access the account.

I won't reveal the details yet to the wife and children until they are done with burial and all expense taken care of. I wouldn't want their extended family to know about it cos they may want to claim it as their brothers property. Once the burial is done, I'll call the wife and children for a very important meeting and disclose it to them.

As the spirit leads...
But if boss is gone, banks usually deduct upto 30-40% of the money depending on the bank...

So if the boss had 10m in d account, if I pay in the 5m making 15m total...
A month later when the family goes to claim it, the bank will deduct their 30% and give the wife 10m... so it's just like dashing the bank...
It's better I give the family
.. but as I said, as the spirit leads...

Na so armed robbers stop me n my boss, collect everything... next morning I de wash car, see big envelop 2m inside... i foolishly returned it to collect good boy... money wea oga think say thief's don collect...

First thing is to wait, change route, Go home and stash the money away, then go back to the office to know the outcome of his health status. If he is confirmed dead.

I would look for paper trail in his office to determine what was the source of the 5 million before he instructed me to go pay it into his account. If the paper trail leads to a third eye who knows about the money then. The money will go to the deceased family after I confirm who his next of kin is — in the process saving the family from bank bureaucratic stress in the process of getting the money out of his account.

However in a different scenario, If I happen to stash the money away, rush back to his office to look for paper trail of the money but don't find any, the money was just some savings with no third party eye — then that money will remain stashed in my possession but untouched. I will wait for months after his funeral to get his family together and change the narrative of how the money came about and why it's in my possession but this time, it will be 2 million not 5 million.

In a nutshell, 3 million will be mine as dead people don't talk.
