Dey play. Dat skinny Olamide wey come out go faint from one blow. Poverty is no indicator of strength, more likely an indicator of malnourishment and weakness

A lot of the point men in Uniport and UST from 90s and early 2000s are big men kids. I know them personally and need more than my fingers to count them. One of my cousin who both his parents were commissioners and his uncle was a Federal Minister was a point man. I know one family of 4 boys, all 4 boys are killers and their dad is LOADED. When their dad died in London, his hospital bill came past £300k ten years ago. I no want call names but cultism in PH in that era was a rich man's game before the real militants took it beyond a game. That Burna Boy you are seeing there is a rich boy who attended both Montessori in PH and Corona in Lagos with some of my rich younger cousins who attended both same time as him, and I guarantee you that Olamide would want no problem with Burna Davido has got that evil spirit in him, whether he can fight or not, his heart is dark enough to do it to somebody.

Trust me, Burna too want no problem with Olamide o. Kirakikata o dola o.

But you are converting it to naira.

I dropped a friend going to Ghana at the border. That was the day i asked about that Gabon stuff here.

It is when you are converting Naira to CFA that you'll know you are in for trouble as you travel.

Convert the same thing to dollar, and you'll be surprised how the inflation disappears

.....let's set aside Naira conversion, inflation in Ivory Coast is far worse than in Nigeria.

I see. I was under the impression that naira Marley was still cancelled. Though imho he just caught stray bullet but that's how life is sometimes.

Nah. He's still up and doing his music thingy.
Cancel culture is weak in this country.

All these things are just sentiments, and I understand the psychology behind it.

Naira Marley released a song late last year and people are jamming to it. If you doubt, try and look for the comments on Twitter.

In the Nigerian music industry, good or bad publicity is STILL PUBLICITY.

I don't know about that.

But our currency is weaker than theirs to start using it as a metric.

1 CFA is twice the naira. Why won't it look like inflation to you?

Infact, convert the price of Coke in USA to naira.

Now, is the inflation there worse than Nigeria?

Anyone wey dey do this or get anyone in the household doing this cannot claim adjacent anymore. Actually anyone who ever stepped into Igbobi cannot be adjacent anymore, That was the downtown of street especially secondary school level. You have already been exposed to things not 3rd party narration o, personal experience trumps anything narrated.

If Davido had gone to say a Federal Uni and met some real goons then he could have had some real life experience, Most at Babcock and Covenant were boys wey think say sneaking to parties and smoking weed is the peak of "badness" at a regular uni you will meet real "animals". Some of them murderers and real thugs
I had schoolmates that were narrating their experience of killing and seeing people killed in Warri crisis back in 98. Wetin I dey talk sef, The Fryo wey dem say kill Bola Ige na person wey we dey see for school regularly

Davido won't be the trigger man in any event., but he has the goons, he has the funds, and he has the social connections to really be a demon in that music business if he wants to.

You saw Burna boy getting his goons to shoot the husband of a girl he toasted in the club, right there in the club and nothing happened. I don't know why you think Davido couldn't possibly be on timing.

Broski came to Port Harcourt when I was in 500 level for a show at Pleasure Park, and boys started doing their usual. Pressing breast and collecting phones in the crowd etc.

He went back on stage and said something to the effect of 'Port Harcourt, na so una dey do'?

Na so boys light the place up and he straight up ran away. Na Duncan Mighty help carry am comot that day.

And for those of us who aren't PH boys, Pleasure Park is in the middle of two of the largest military bases in Nigeria, 6 Division HQ Nigerian Army, and 115 Special Operations Nigerian Air Force.

That was the smart thing to do no matter how rugged he is

Even if that was portable, he would have taken cover cheesy

Abidjan is expensive than Lagos firstly because our currency is shiit.

You cannot be selling an inflation agenda (which could be true), when we are already at a disadvantageous position.

Remove the Abidjan and put Texas, Doha, Birmingham, etc and it would no longer be inflation to you.

No dey use small eye dey look all these African countries.

The first problem is that our currency is shiit

APC really finished what was left of the naira.

If our currency had any iota of value, we won't be exchanging 1200 for one coke

1000cfa = #1850.

Something that use to be #600 to #700 early last year.

Where did you get your stats from? Are you forgetting that the people here don't earn in Naira.Prices of items here have been the same right from 2000 until covid-19 happened. Check the link below and tell me how inflation here is worse?

That is what i was trying to explain to him.

You cannot use inflation as a defence yet, when our currency is a tissue paper at best.

The rent, coke and food in Abidjan are sold and bought majorly by Ivorians. We have not heard that they are sleeping on the streets because nobody can afford rent or drink coke.

But when a Nigerian crosses the border with his next to nothing paper called Naira, every thing starts to become inflated.

So people are shouting they are hungry in this country, and you want them to take solace in the fact that coke is 1200 in Abidjan? Do they spend Naira in Abidjan? SMH.

This is what APC does to the mind of its supporters. They will deflect from our realities to how things are in other countries as a defence for their woeful administration.

I think it is generally a Nigerian issue.

Any small thing, we don pick calculator dey press.

Person wan go UK; e don calculate £10/hr and converts it to naira, forgetting they don't spend naira there

Seems he has his motives because i expected him to drop the argument immediately you told him they don't earn in Naira.
