Moffi will join the team immediately after his club game this Saturday!

Goodluck to the Super Eagles! Bring it home!

No African team is outstanding at the moment! You can do it!

Who say Man City na my team?
Na supporters turn the team around? No recruit new players and change tactical minds, ur support na waste.
Truidstarr:
Oga Joebie… The Manchester City you love today with all your heart… were a shite team not too long ago. If their supporters had your attitude… you won’t have a team to support today. It’s not all perfect.

If you know super eagles of Nigeria history, you will realize that, they perform better when underestimated by fans. For example, prior to Nigeria vs Ivory Coast in 2013, NFF had already prepared keshi sack letter and our players return ticket. We won that tournament

Okocha the skill workshop no man born of a woman can collect the ball from him
Essein the bison he can run all day is strong and can mark anybody.
Nobody can overrun such a midfield
It's good to dream but you will soon wake up

Egbon, we know you have followed Nigerian National team for so long to understand that we don't usually do well in friendlies leading to major tournaments. The result against Guinea has not changed my expectations for this team. It is not about blind patriotism. Forget about the recent set-backs, we know what this team is capable of.
The crucial factor is Peseiro. Peseiro pours cold water on all that history

If I were Lagos, I'd salvage the failed Eko Atlantic project by building an ultra modern football stadium and sports park on all of the empty land that the project is failing to find investors for.

That will be a disaster waiting to happen

The way he talks is like he doesn't know what he's doing with this team.

It is an entirely different thing if these players decide to take things into their hands and make this coach look good las las. But for now, lower expectations. 1st game should show us how tactically prepared he is for the likes of senegal, Egypt and Morocco in KO stages. Till then

Now NFF can see the nonsense plan they and Peseiro made with inviting only 25 players. 2 injured. Moffi and Kelechi under probability. May God help us to scale through the group stage. Now think of it, if Iwobi or Osimhin gets injured, how it will look like.

we play on Sunday. Even at that, the fact that it was a late call up meant we disrupted their team plans so it's only fair they hold him till Saturday. If only we had some home based in the preliminary squad, we wouldn't have been in worry at all. PJ's reluctance to include new players into the team would be his downfall. It may seem like praying bad for us but I don't want pj to win this nations cup for us. The way afcon is, you don't necessarily need to be the best to win it. A really crazy streak of luck is enough to win it. Pj winning it would mean he continues and it would only mean we would continue to go backward.

Man city would barely fill their own end on off seats on derby day if not for a very good Investment man city would be nothingham today

The investment idea pitch to the man city owner is buy our club and if you’re able to topple Manchester United just once that’s all the marketing for success you need and boom 💥 that’s how man city came to be

It’s not like city raised Gem from their academy so stop capping

My twin and aunt has both been a city fan since 07 so there’s nothing you can tell me about city
You just dey talk epistle… please read the context of my statement and get my point. Am saying when Man city was a useless club, did their supporters abandon them? They stood by them. That’s why you have a club today.

Even Uruguay plays 442 and they do well

Na our ASUU comrade of a gaffer no just wise

This is true, even Argentina played a 4-4-2 at times during the last WC but the difference is the 4 across the midfield had at least 3 actual midfielders in Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernandez and Alex Mac Allister. It was more of a 4-3-3 as Messi would play as a RW and Alvarez as ST.

We play 4-4-2 but with only two midfielders. That is the issue.

you can't always be unlucky forever. The way this team is playing does not even inspire the smallest hope in me at all. It's one thing to be losing while playing well or decent but our own is to be dragging with low tier teams. I still can't believe we couldn't pick at least 3 points from the wcq in November. I don't any option but to support but we don't inspire any hope at all.

Just to chip in.. Man City weren't exactly a useless club.. they were more like just an average club.. A club many people didn't expect much from.... So their supporters couldn't have abandoned them, given that they didnt really have high expectations from them... The Arabs coming in totally changed things..

Another issue with our own 4-4-2 is that the two players that ought to start RM and LM aren't exactly adapted to the role.. I'm referring to the duo of Lookman and Chukwueze..Even Simon isn't that adapted to the role... They drift away from midfield too often and that leaves space for opponents to explore...
I'll say it again, if Peseiro wants to stick with playing 2 forwards up front, 3-5-2 is his best bet..

100% with you on the bolded. 3-5-2 would be the best as it helps stabilize our MF and gives cover to our back line. Our strengths are in attack and the wing back areas. This formation would maximze our strengths while mitigating our weaknesses, but this JP guy na better fool.

This is one of the most intelligent observation and analysis i have seen so far. My initial proposition for personnel deployment from the left wing through the midfield to the right wing were: Chidera Ejuke, Kelechi Nwakali, Wilfred Ndidi and Alex Iwobi. The aforelisted players are all midfielders, with Chidera Ejuke and Alex Iwobi having the ability to play as wingers.
