Soldiers are not allowed to speak out through social media when not officially empowered to do so. This one being a low ranking officer is in for a big trouble. 24 Likes |

All security agencies in Nigeria should be periodically taught and exposed to the constitution, with the way they behave, it is clear that majority of them don't even know anything about the constitution 22 Likes 2 Shares |

SIONKPO1: The guy who was arrested, how are you even sure he is a soldier to begin with? He wasn't on uniform nor anything to show he was truly a soldier. You people should learn to judge matter from a critical perspective n not unnecessary emotional. Fast forward, so far 2 army guys made video, one was confirmed to be a soldier but the other one was debunked, how do u react to that. 8 Likes |

It still doesn't change the fact that Sanwo Olu's true colours has been revealed and that 99% of soldiers now know him as enemy of the Nigerian Army. There are things a man placed with executive authority must not do and denigrating his nation's Army is one of them for whatever reason . |

SIONKPO1: Some military laws: Discipline is a way of life. Military men do not talk out of turn. The maximum punishment for mutiny is death. The penalty for desertation in time of war is death. The soldier should have routed his grievances through the appropriate channel until it gets to Sanwo-Olu. 2 Likes 1 Share |

SIONKPO1: ^^^ So? Over 100 million Nigerians are already demoralized. Welcome to the club. Mutiny? There are consequences for mutiny. They should ask their colleagues. Quit the army? So what? Thousands of Nigerians quit their jobs each day. Nothing special there. SIONKPO1: ^^^ Delusions. If they are this put out by 'harsh words' then they have no business putting on a uniform. If words can dampen their so called morale so much, how will they cope with the boom of artillery and rocket fire? 5 Likes |

SIONKPO1: ^^^ You're a troll and a poor one at that. SIONKPO1: ^^^ So? There are other groups who have also sacrificed a lot for this country and they are even more poorly paid. The difference is that when they break traffic laws they accept their punishment without complaining. Nigeria is hard for everybody. 5 Likes |

Abagworo: ^^^ This is odd. In several threads you have peddled this strange narrative. Why? It would be better for all of us if the 99% you speak about actually focused on this country's real enemies. You know, the enemies hiding out in caves, hills, mountains, forests and remote villages across the country. The enemy waylaying and murdering travelers on Nigeria's highways. That is the enemy the army is being paid good money to contain - and so far, Nigerians have been let down, time after time. That is the real enemy the army should focus on. Not state governors. I am not a fan of the Lagos governor and we all agree his language was intemperate. But that doesn't give you the room to insert these subtle and not so subtle threats into the discussion. It doesn't give you the room to spread falsehood. The governor called that recalcitrant traffic offender a 'useless boy'. Where does denigrating the army come into it? If you wish to know who is denigrating the army you only need to look at the army itself. Last month's catastrophic failures in Tudun Buri and Bokkos/Barkin Ladi will provide all the evidence you need. 3 Likes |

As seen in the Punch this morning: Reacting to the development, Lagbaja said the soldier arrested for plying one way does not represent the Nigerian Army, saying that the action contravenes the discipline of the force and the constitution of the state. He said, “I want to say that the soldier that was apprehended by the governor of Lagos State while playing on a one way, does not represent the Nigerian Army because, in every respect, it contravenes what we stand for which is discipline as an Army and the constitution and the laws of Lagos state.” He, however, noted that contrary to the claims that three officers of the force had come out to defend their colleague and faulted the state governor, only one of them was an officer of the force. And we frown at that as Army but what you alleged that soldiers have gone to the social media casting aspersions on the person and the office of the governor of Lagos State, I will say it’s only one soldier that has done that. The others are not personnel of the Nigerian Army. “We have investigated the mode of dressing of some of them, and you will know that they are not personnel of the Nigerian Army. “One of them was wearing the badge upside down and you will know that that is not a personnel of the Nigerian Army. An officer can never do that. And from the utterances that these people made, you’ll know the angle from which they are talking. They are talking about politics, not the Army. So, we will leave it like that for the ones that pertain to the army we are investigating to be treated accordingly.” 1 Like |

ivolt: The Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, stated that only one officer from the force defended their colleague and criticized the state governor, contradicting the earlier claims that three officers did so. My question is, who is now this guy in this video? Because some people actually claimed they know him as a real soldier. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWS5A1NP6GU |
