Open Letter to President Tinubu: Tunji-Ojo Needs Protection As Monstrous Passport Cabal Fights Back! It’s not a coincidence. No. And we, members of the Renewed Hope Collective (RHC), saw it coming! The moment the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made the bold decision to appoint Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as Minister of Interior and the minister declared his intention to implement the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda without fear or favour, we knew he would get into trouble. We didn’t know it would be so soon!https://leadership.ng/open-letter-to-president-tinubu-tunji-ojo-needs-protection-as-monstrous-passport-cabal-fights-back/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter nlfpmod 7 Likes

Truth is he's the only minister working and I just hope Tinubu does not make that mistake of touching him. 5 Likes 1 Share |

To some people especially obidents, this is more a political point for them but they don't know that this man remaining in office benefits them more than him leaving the office. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

There is no fucking passport cabal fighting him but his criminality running after him. Unfortunately, he has gone down already. This man has done and still doing well, but here it a case if a serious breach of public trust and accountability. 2 Likes |

JagabanB:Nothing new. Many corrupt indicted and convicted criminals are still useful in government offices under this dispensation including the notorious criminal who put him there. Others include Matawalle, Gandollar, Atiku Bagudu. A criminal remains a criminal no matter how it is painted. 10 Likes |

Truth is the minister is working, but why must he involve himself in corrupt practices knowing fully well it has severe consequences on him. I might so claim he has left the company but in so far as his family has share in it, it's complicated. It's undoubtedly a corrupt nation full of mischievous people left and right. |

JagabanB: Fallacy of hasty generalization. I'm Obidient but I believe this man is the only person in the present government who is working excellently. Truly, from what he has done in immigration, he belongs to the few personalities that worked passionately for the good of all. I categorize him among great people like Dora Akunyili, Okonjo Iweala and a few others who fought against cabals. Tinubu would be stupid to remove him because he is the only minister boosting the image of his gloomy government. 2 Likes |

Rubbish nonsense propaganda. When he connived with Betta to steal a whopping #500m we did not know oo. Besides, Tunji-Ojo has started stealing for a long time now. If you remember the famous "off your mic" expose during Buhari's regime when the then Niger Delta Minister Godswill Akpabio accused House of Reps Committee members on NDDC of hijacking NDDC projects, Tunji-Ojo was the Chairman of that committee then. . 1 Like |

EreluRoz:Over the past weeks I have known Tinubu to be a man of uncanning wisdom, a listening president, performance oriented and master strategist. Suspending Edu and summoning Ojo is a masterstroke in leadership and management. |

The truth is that none of them are saints, they've all soiled their hands one way or the other. From APC to PDP to LP, Tinubu, Obi, and Atiku, they are all the same, in fact all politicians are not saints. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Jking20: Exactly. Even if he's super and the best minister in Nigeria's history ( note i said IF), corruption is NEVER acceptable. It still MUST be punished. With arrest, prosecution and you MUST be made to vomit all the loot. Tunji Ojo isn't the only capable Nigerian as most of his defenders seem to think, his successor would even be challenged to work harder. 4 Likes |

Beremx: Some of you wouldn't recognise propaganda even if it slapped you in your face. This same guy you are advocating for was accused by Godswill Akpabio as being one of the greatest beneficiaries of fraud in the NDDC as chairman of The house of Reps committee on the NDDC. Listen to Akpabio breaking it down in this video popularly tagged as OFF THE MIC VIDEO. 👇 https://youtube.com/shorts/puHjESd4WwU?si=PW1c9oMHHfHcH_sh 1 Like |

Written like the typical, zombified Nigerian, everything seen in a narrow prism of victimisation, corruption fighting back or nepotism. It's that they claim the person is being victimised, those that want the status quo to remain are fighting back or he/she is being hounded due to the ethnic group he/she belongs. Very few see it from the simple prism of what is right and what is wrong or illegal/legal. What he has done is illegal, corrupt and breach of the laws of Nigeria and there is every likelihood it was a tit for tat between his company and that of Edu or her cronies. Just like someone has pointed out, corruption is usually something most of these appointees came into office with and were involved in one corrupt deed or other before their appointments.Their new posts just sort of gave them the added audacity and power they think they now have from their office. We will continue having problems with the mindset the average Nigerian goes into office and sees an office holder. Op,do you know the kind of positive template and even international goodwill resulting in investments locally and internationally if Ojo were to be sacked or he resigns from office, meaning the present government is not just keen on the rule of law by ensuring a level playing field for all businessmen or women? Who in God's name even says another person with a cleaner cupboard cannot do same thing Ojo is doing,if not better? |
