Liars. The constant unnecessary arm measuring, challenge and assault you guys do to the Igbos are irritating.
That is what others within the Ikwerre clan will continue to reciprocate to you guys amongst the Ikwerre clans.
Besides when the Igbos will finally have you guys time, you won't be able to stand it. Well, Ikwerre Ekpeye and Ogba are united in their disregard for Igbos, especially as Ikwerre dont need Igbo for anything. And I never said Ikwerre to team up with Igbo, I asked for our traditional brothers in Rivers state. Those of you in SEast should attend to yourselves. |

What does sounding like Igbo mean? And how does this matter concern the Igbos.
The day Igbos will have the time for Ikwerres like you, you will run and wish you never provoked them.
A topic about Ikwerres and Ijaws of Rivers state is what decieved minds like yourself try to drag Igbos into but when you see Ijaws and co that torment you, you become speechless.
All you do on Nairaland is to revise ancient Igbo ancestorial history in Rivers state with dirty false information. Impossible. Torment what. Ikwerre don't have any single fear of Ijaw. Was it not Wike that said thunder should fire IYC & INC? I'm only trying to alert Non-Ogoni uplanders to the fact that they can rule Rivers State indefinitely by forming a single cultural & political block. |

Before Ikwerres started becoming governors in Rivers or before Rivers state was divided to form Baylesa. You know how the Ijaws dealth with Ikwerres in the old Rivers state that they needed external help to regain control in the new Rivers state. Now you lots have played into the long awaited hands of the Ijaws through Wike. Now relax and watch them roll out agendas for Ikwerres in Rivers. The Ijaws endured your years of arrogance, now it's their time....they will make use of it and will even over do and by then Ikwerres will have no ralling point or help because they burnt all the bridges. These same Igbos that help you every election season due to their population and affinity to brotherhood that you Ikwerres like to antagonize will sit back neutral to watch the show without coming to help like before. It is called Natural selection. Stop ranting....you are disturbing the peace of Nairaland. Let you Ikwerres pick your fight with Ijaws your competitors. Leave Igbos and other tribes out of your troubles as they don't have your time. Just so you know, till the world seizes to exist, the Igbos you mention everytime will always be ahead and important players in affairs of Nigeria and beyond. But you see Ijaws, they have your time(Ikwerres) and every willing to deal with you(noisy Ikwerres)....let's not even add the Ogonis&Kalabaris, those ones won't tolerate your disturbances. Note; I have no problem with good Ikwerres except the arrogant/noisy ones like some of those here on nairaland even though the best is to ignore them because most of them rant as they have always been willing tools who try to 'belong' whenever they see others banter Igbos forgetting that there are levels and a minor group must get to that certain level before they can join the big boys(tribes) to engage another major tribe in banters/ranting. Anyways, I wish Rivers peace and development devoid of sectionalism. |

I am not Igbo and I am not comfortable when Ikwerre is called Igboid tribe by Igbo people, as a backyard way of forcing their identity.
That term Igboid was coined by a foreigner in University of Portharcourt few years ago, who was grouping languages that have affinity or common terms. This is normal worldwide.
She did not group ethnicity or tribes but languages. Some people are now grouping people as their “Igboid tribes” that must be part of their breakaway country.
She never even mentioned ‘dialects’ in her work but some people began to use it to claim that certain tribes or ethnicities speak “their dialect” so must be part of them. Bros thanks. I am ikwerre and when I see Igbo trying to rub themselves on me I feel like throwing up. My culture is rich and has her unique identity. An okrika man I have lived with for thousands of years know who is ikwerre and who is Igbo. The same with ogonis and kalabaris. 1 Like |

vanitybutiwanti: Deputy goveris from ogba, do you expect non ikwerres to be Chairmen of Ikwerre LGAs like PHALGA, Ikwerre, Obio/Akpor and Emuoha? The senator Allwell Oyenso is from Etche, the Rivers EAst senatorial district is made up of 4 Ikwerre LGAs, omuma, etche and okrika, the last occupant was from okrika, Senator George Sekibo, you guys talk about things you know nothing about, I think the government should clamp down on the Internet, people take advantage of it to heat up the polity Thank you for defending wike here, historically and politically ikwerre and etche have ties Nobody is heating up the polity rather we're saying it the way it's |

We are not Igbos who claim people they have no historical ties with just that they share some words in common. Etche is contagouos with some ikwerre communities and shares some words in common with ikwerre people but are not ikwerrepeople. Most of them that post all these crap are not from Rivers State and are supporters of one failed presidential aspirant and or supporters of one terrorist group whose known agenda have been wholeheartedly rejected by Ikwerre and Rivers people. You could easily discern their agenda reading between the lines. They want to incite others tribes against Wike and against Ikwerre people. Most times they pretend to be Ijaw to post nonsense but when you go to their history, you see that they are those bitter and hateful people. I like to ignore idi0tic posts like this. |

Bitter mkpurumiri rejects…Cry more |

Now you're talking; Ikwerre, Port Harcourt, Obio, etche, ogba and emuoha share the same ancestry I believe most of those areas share boundaries with Imo and Abia state. So just because of boundary demarcation, they are no longer Igbos? Maybe those parts found in imo state are also Ikwere? Those who created the states were just being mischievous. |

Oga going by your logic, the world will be made of just one ethnicity because there will always be sharing of boundary. States were created because people agitated for them to be created, because they felt subjugated by certain groups. Someone just didn’t wake up and decided to create States. 1 Like |
