Ofodirinwa:I don't think you know how the economy works. Question for you, which country has the highest foreign investment? Answer is the USA And China comes second. You would never hear an American economist complaining about foreign investment the way you are Investors and businesses are supposed to do all they can to protect themselves from failing economies and failing government policies. They don't owe your government, they owe their shear holders. Now you are unhappy because 15 foreign investments left right? How about the 100s and thousands of local businesses that failed within the same time period because they did not have the opportunity of taking their businesses to a better country? Would you prefer these businesses to fail? 6 Likes |

Ofodirinwa:don't u think u are more intelligent than dis garbage u wrote.multinational companies are in every country in d world.d UAE are who they are now cos they created a conducive business environment for multinational companies to strive.the almighty Putin(Russia president) is going to China,Iran and some Africa and South America countries begging investors to come and invest in his country cos he knows no country can survive without multinational companies.d question u shud ask ursef is that has ur country created a conducive environment for multinational companies to strive? How many multinational companies will invest in a country where there's high insecurity,no power supply, not tax friendly and where d per-capital income of d citizens is very low? Mind u d purpose of doing business is to make profit and not charity 4 Likes |

Ofodirinwa:Stop the name calling. Its immature No country in this world exist without multinationals. None. And no country in this world can do without the presence of multinationals. The presence of multinationals do not stifle domestic growth eg China houses the highest number of multinational companies, the second largest world economy with explosive domestic growth. The problem with your country is human indices. |

Ofodirinwa: Okay... Apart from Multinationals, how many local industries do you have creating high volumes of jobs and opportunities for the teeming graduates and youths in Nigeria?!! With the exit of these companies, what plans have you put in place for the immediate and foreseeable future of the mass of unemployed people across demographics?!! What stimulants have you put to encourage high-end investments from wealthy Nigerians?!! How can the business and economic sector be competitive and flourishing if many players are not involved?!! Do you think all investors in UK, America and other top nations with better economies are from solely local businesses?!! Did EPL, La Liga, Series A and Ligue one get to where they are currently without foreign investments?!! 5 Likes |

I don't care about the so called multinationals. They're all thieves pretending to be investors and laundering foreign exchange out of the country. Tinubu should rather encourage home grown firms so that in a matter of few years they can become Nigerian based multinationals. |

@Ofodirinwa for your info all economies need multinational investors even the united states. Its about foreign exchange and liquidity. Btw your politicians that steal money do not invest in anything tangible that creates opportunitiesbor prosperity. Ofodirinwa: 3 Likes |

Ofodirinwa:One very important impetus for measuring economic growth is foreign investment in a country, they bring in the needed forex, create jobs and stimulate the economy. Africa country badly need it because of its poor state,do nigeria have the needed technology to boost economic development. Nigeria can't do it alone, Europe and America depend largely on Africa market to sell their products, they also buy cheap raw materials from Nigeria(Africa) |

GetSenseNow:Nigeria economy has been bastardized by successive government with bad policies,it became so glaring now because of this present administration blind policy trust. From the administration of GEJ, Nigeria has never attracted foreign investors to the country due to a number of reasons and they are getting worse: * Insecurity * Endemic corruption * Unfavorable government policies * Inflation) brought about by over reliance on Import. |

coputa:GEJ has been out of power for more than 8 years but you guys are still blaming PDP. Check all development indices and you'll see this country took a nosedive immediately APC took power. Everything you listed here, APC has done same and more, or you want to dispute this fact? 20 years from now you'll still blame PDP 3 Likes |
