It is getting harder applying for visa when you have to fly in and out of your city for visa application. It is easier for those in Lagos and Abuja. Been battling the thought though. But hey i will still apply for my visa for 2023 vacation. Just Thinking aloud |

Are people not applying for Schengen visas through the French embassy anymore? I never see anyone lately on this forum to talk about his or her visa’s decision. |

You need to check the ratings for 2023 , then you understand better. Ashirioluwa: france refused visas more than any other country in the schengen region in 2023. |

ogatboy: Hi everyone, I don't recommend Le Bon Coin as there are many scams and untrustworthy people trying to steal your money... You can use also this website : https://erasmusplay.com/ it is safe and they help you find accomodation. |

Hello house A travel agent told me that I have to have at least 3 years cac business certificate and paid my tax regularly to be eligible for a Schengen visa, how true is this please? |

When preparing an application for a visa, it is better to source travel insurance online through any of the insurance companies we have here in Nigeria than go to the ''Visa application center'' to buy one. I bought 30-day travel insurance through AXA for 9700 naira, but I was shocked when a friend of mine told me he paid about 105k naira for 1-month travel insurance he bought through the TLS contact at the ''visa application center''. Buying travel insurance online by yourself or buying it through Tlscontact is not going to influence the outcome of the visa application. This is 2024; we need to spend wisely. 2 Likes |

Brispy: Instead of presenting yourself as the company's owner or director, present yourself as a salaried employee to make things easy for yourself. With this, you don't need the CAC and tax clearance documents to support your visa application. All you need to do is draft an employment letter, open and run a salary account for some months for yourself, and use the same to support your application. 3 Likes |

Ashirioluwa: My wife did biometrics and submitted her documents on Friday, January 12. At about 2:00 PM today, January 17, she got an email informing her that her passport is available for pick-up. It is currently too late to go to VI, but she will go for pick-up tomorrow morning. 3 Likes |

Please I’m a first time traveler, I submitted and did biometric at TLS VI since 13th December 2023, but haven’t gotten any response, is it normal or I should be worried? |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Africankel(m): 5:24pm On Jan 17 |
Lumietuna: You should be worried. Log into your TLS account to monitor the progress of your application. |

Africankel:Okay, thank you so much, I will do just that |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ashirioluwa: 11:26am On Jan 18 |
Lumietuna: The normal processing time for most of the category C Schengen visas is 15 business days, and this starts when they receive an application at the embassy, not when the biometric is done. Also, you're a first-timer, and don't forget the few holidays most offices observe in December and January. Give them from now until next week to see what will happen. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Ashirioluwa: 11:44am On Jan 18 |
Ashirioluwa: Her application was approved, and a 3-year visa was granted. - Application submitted on Friday, January 12 - Ready for pickup email received on January 17 - Pickup today January 18. * She had a 1-year Schengen visa that expired last year. 3 Likes |

If you want to get a Schengen visa as first timer with or without traveling experience, just apply to Lithuania, Latvia or Croatia. Thank me later. |
Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by nneteb(f): 6:51pm On Jan 18 |
Your reference number starts with FRA if you have the Visa form you filled via France visa application portal you will see your reference number or login into the website and copy the number from there Moonie12321: |

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by mamawa123: 11:03pm On Jan 18 |
Moonie12321: Is on the France application form you filled out. Also, check the TLS appointment notice or reminder email you received from TLS. It’s called application ID on the TLS appointment notice reminder. |
