I think you’re supposed to actually click on “submit by mail” and then print out the docs they show you (your receipt, form and all the information you sent to them online). You’re supposed to also add them to your hard docs. Well that’s what I did after I read the instructions. I printed and added to my hard docs.

Jesus!!! Thank you so much. I didn’t know I was supposed to click the “submit by mail”. I already sent via courier and I have been checking for updates. Now I have the receipt and I’m confused as to how to send it across😭

Login to your e-consular, click on current services. Check if the status has changed to ‘mailed’.

Yes, it has changed to “mailed” but apparently I have to submit the docs alongside the receipt which was generated when I clicked “submit by mail” but I already submitted the docs since last week. Please what do you suggest I do with the newly generated receipt?

Job is not easy to get in Brazil because of the language barrier and even the available jobs, their salary is poor. Brazil is not a place where you can hustle for money oo only if you want to be involved in illegal businesses.

Factory jobs are available though if you can do it. Salary is 1600 but you might be asked to go to interior. I get people who dey do those kind jobs.

other jobs dey wey you go dey get daily money for survival.

Teaching jobs dey too, but salary nah problem

But if you're in TECH as advised by the person above me, you go get job with good payment.

Most people that are I know including myself are here purposely cos of the passport.

If we are able to be get it, omooooo nah movement oo.

Thank you Sir, you said teaching job dey but salary na problem. Please I don't understand

Any particular certification I can do to increase to my chances even if it's online?

You can apply for passport a year after you've gotten your PR. Although many conditions must be fulfilled before your application can be approved.

Hello, please does anyone have any idea how they retrieve passports after issuing visas? I sent a follow up mail to the consulate about my VITEM, they replied that it has been issued and passport already “RETRIEVED”. However, it’s been 10 days and I still haven’t received from DHL (note: I sent my docs via courier with a paid return envelope). I have sent several mails to provide info as to how it was retrieved, to no avail. Please does anyone know how to sort this out? I don’t base in Lagos.

DHL didn't respond to your emails?
Your return label should have a tracking number which you can use to track it.
You can go back to where you got the return label and ask then to find out where it's at if it's not trackable on their website

Not DHL, the Brazil consulate. They just replied “your visa has already been issued and your passport has already been retrieved”. If it’s with DHL, I would have long received it by now.
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Asmy91: 7:16am On Jan 15
I’ll go back to DHL office today to find out. It isn’t track able.

Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Bammybestowed: 8:36am On Jan 15
Please I have a question. I recently heard from a friend that for someone going to give birth in Brazil, to get your PR and passport, you need to apply for Asylum first. He stated that this is because it is now compulsory to put a CPF number when applying for Police report and you need the police report to apply for citizenship for the child and PR for parents and you can’t get that with a tourist visa. He said it’s a recent update and I just want to confirm from those who are more experienced.

If you have someone in Lagos, ask them to go the embassy to check for you. They are not the best in responding to inquiries or complaints.

Something similar happened to a friend, DHL picked up but couldn't use the return waybill possibly because it had expired so it was just sitting in DHL office. My point is it could be from either party so check both.

Not True

Everything stated by your friend is false.

You do not need to apply for asylum for any reason. I don't know if it's a recent update but you do not need CPF for police report. Assuming you do, anybody can get a CPF number even a foreigner.

You also do not need Police Character to get any of your child's document.

You can even get a CPF while in Nigeria.

Your police report is from Nigeria and you need it for your own PR application only, has nothing to do with your baby who is a Brazilian.
To use your police report here, you have to legalize it either at the Brazilian embassy in Nigeria or Nigerian embassy in Brazil. CPF is not a requirement except this is a recent development and it has to be as recent as this month cos I know ppl who did it last month.

Assuming CPF is now a requirement, anyone can get a CPF. Everyone I know including myself got their CPF as a tourist and it's valid for life.

You get your child's birth certificate at the cartorio, they only need your name and passport number and the yellow paper from the hospital. Other documents application do not need your police report either

Only your own PR and Naturalization need it.

You have no reason to apply for asylum.
