Oooo, that power button is needed now. At this point the back cover of the phone has to be opened. I have seen cases like this where just removing the power flex and putting it back solved the issue. You can check YouTube on how to open it up or take it to a technician to help you.
After opening the phone , you should be able to turn up the phone by directly pressing on to the power flex.

Alright Boss. Happy new year. Don't mind my New username. It's still benstino. Nairaland was taking too much of my time, so I deleted the account. Now,f2 pro don carry me come. grin

So, I've already taken the phone to Computer village Abuja, and a technician opened it. He removed and reinserted the power flex, but it didn't power on. I've seen a familiar problem on youtube, and it got fixed through another means. I've sent the link to the guy. Down here, they just seem reluctant or can I say afraid of working on Poco phones. Maybe I'll just keep it aside for anyday I find a technician who's well versed in fixing Poco phones. Most I see online resides in Lagos

Of course it has lost root access because a new rom or an update was carried out on it. Have you held both the power button and volume up to go to recovery mode? I want to see if your recovery is custom or not. Check if it shows TWRP or Redwolf.

Attached is what I got when I followed the command. Thanks for your timely response boss.

Ooo, ok. It means you should head to the Xiaomi tweaking thread. You'll need to flash TWRP to properly unroot the phone.
Before then, try to turn off USB debugging before opening the banking app. Some bank apps like First Bank won't work with it turned on

I've noticed a pattern over the many years I've used Redmi phones.

The phones seems to get worse with every update.
The issues that the phones has are never addressed, instead superficial changes are made that do not solve any existing problem and in some cases, creates issues of their own.

The devs at redmi always have this obsession with providing updates without actually finding out what customer are already asking for. So basically moving forward for the sake of moving forward. No meaningful direction in mind.

SMH.
I've updated to hyper os on my note 12 and it's basically a theme that is almost 5gb in size.

The major issues I thought that will be adressesed like poor ram management will not adressesed.
Instead, the file manger now looks ugly AF and the data counter is now microscopic.
I just tire.

This is the last time I'll use a redmi phone.

GM here. I used to be a Redmi fan too. They offer better hardware at affordable prices but their software is terrible. My first redmi device was a Redmi 9t. It went into deadboot. At Raya they just formatted it and gave me back. I read here that year that it was a common issue with the model. So I bought a note 10 pro, The phone is great, I'm currently using it but it has frustrated me enough.
I can't remember when it started but I started getting the system UI not responding popup I formatted it. Over the time I've downloaded every OTA and currently using the latest 14.0.8. The system UI not responding issue was recurring every time that if I don't press ok it will just keep coming back. When I click ok,the screen goes off and locks, then all the notifications that are already on the bar are resounded (can't really explain this part only someone who has experienced this knows what I'm saying). It was just frustrating the past 10months.
Something I find interesting is that a friend bought the same product but from Amazon and has never had issues. But another bought a note 12pro here and is having similar issues. Oh I forgot to mention when connected to my earbuds playing music and a call comes I, after the call, the music starts playing on the top speaker and earbuds together.
Meanwhile the friend who bought from Amazon never experienced this. It has led me to conclude that maybe there's an issue with the batches sent to Nigeria.

In all the experience and UI is great. I don't know if these issues occur in their top flagships but I've decided to leave the Xiaomi ecosystem. It was fun and bitter.

In light of my previous post, which flagships are you guys using or can recommend?

Right now what I need in a phone is performance
The rest of the features should be flagship standard.

RN10 Pro user only had that issue occasionally on 14.0.2 and I have seen it since then.

My RN10 Pro is a normal global version.

My eyes are on the Xiaomi 14 or 13. I need a smaller device.

6.67 inch displays are too big for me.

Like we always say here, ask questions before you take your phone to a technician.

I find it absurd that so many people comeback here to ask questions after the technician has tempered with the phone

Medicine after death my brother. If he truly follows this page he would have seen similar issues and see the suggestions that were doled out.

Even if it is a technician he is looking for he will get here.

I have been following Xiaomi for years before I finally go redmi note 11s just after the phone came out which isn't upto 2yrs now. Last I used solar and power banks to charge my devices due to no light in where I am staying so I have it in mind that if this phone has any issue it could probably the battery First. As I do drain my phone battery most when there no powerbank to use. The day finally three day to Christmas I have drained my battery again and I tried charging it when there is light the phone keep booting and showing a battery sign and keeps going on and off till it doesn't come up again. From Epe I took the phone to computer village at Xaiomi.i got to there store which is along the road linking to ikeja along .one of the sales rep attended to me and described the after service center to me and ask the security guy to give me further description.the security told he will give men someone number I should call more like an Engineer working there.i told do I still need to call him since you have directed me to the store and I was using a basic phone which I could barely hear what the other called is saying. I went to the service center and the lady rep attended to me collected my details while slowly working on the computer. She said they won't be able to check my phone today which is Friday that after Christmas break and they will give me call to tell me what is wrong with the phone.ok no wahala i will be expecting your call ma.Wednessday came no call same Thursday no call till after 4pm which I called them.while on the phone she asked for the number ID given to me and she blantly told the phone isn't ready..I asked her but I was expecting you to tell what is wrong with the phone and what need to be done on it and price included.she said call back tomorrow. OK o.the following I asked someone who is working to pls help me go to their office and ask what is wrong. The person went their on Friday and she told they rudely attended to her and she left.i wasn't with no smartphone and I am I will have been receiving WhatsApp messages and some app I use which can't be used on laptop the day I took the phone to their ikeja I got 2 new batteries for my mifi I can access Internet on laptop..but still can't get access to WhatsApp, telegram and some apps which u have to get code from a smartphone to login system.on Saturday I called and called they didn't not pick call..the phone is also delaying me from travelling to Abj .
I went to their office on Tuesday after new year.asked the lady Madam what is wrong my phone no feedback on what is wrong with it over a week now..she grumbling said let me go and bring phone ..she brought it and said it is the panel that is wrong with it can I pay 140k to reply. I am gentle person but what comes out from my mouth might not be good sometimes that why I Don like replying immediately..so I asked does it makes any sense to pay 140k to repair a phone I bought 139k5h and will I still get my data and files back?
I sha display some little reaction there letting ppl know I get phone not upto two years you are telling me some is wrong with the panel and I should more than what I got the phone( even if it is inflatio) I was like I can't go back with a phone .and now said eh let her see what she can do by January 4 she gave me her personal number that I should call her.i answered here ok.I mumble I need to get a small android phone..someone now mentioned redmi 13c or something. I said so I will
use my money to redmi phone that will pack after a year.I went to to get the cheapest Samsung phone A05.which is want I am using now. Days after I called this lady she said the phone isn't ready yet I should back..I asked have you know what is actually wrong with the phone.and I have travelled not in lag. So the person who I know working in ikeja kept calling me that have they repaired the phone and she was concerned telling she doesn't think this peopl6 know what they are doing and she will go to there office tomorrow to collect it from them.the following day I called the lady and she asked how much I am paying for repair I said how much she want to collect she insisted I say what I am willing to pay o..I said OK I have 10k .and she cut the call on me .I kept calling her she didn't pick again. The person I know said after her closing hour she will go collect the phone from them.i said ok..but all this while I didn't want to random Engineer in computer village as I believed Xiaomi center should be able to handle since it is there product and the Chinese guys are there controlling. She sha took the phone to someone in CV and the person said he will check the battery First if it did work then it should be the panel and Xiaomi panel isn't inthe market online other brands.while he checking the phone the person that took the phone to him and I were discussing on phone the repairer heard her saying while should I repair for 140k..the repairer said eh eh you won repair phone we be say na battery dey worry am he told her the price he going to collect and we should not price it.in fairness it is reasonable ..when she went to collect the phone the stupid lady said hadnbeen I said I will pay 50k she will have repair it..she now asked did you tell him what is wrong with the phone. After weeks and spending unbudget over 100k my phone came back to life with 13k.
The xiaomi service center workers are crook and thief damaging the brand and this stupid doesn't. The day I got this my Samsung phone two ppl were actually at xiaomi table wanting to the phone which is opposite to Samsung I shall narrat my store and some who is buying a Samsung and know one of the guy buying redmi called to come and hear my story oo..and he drop redmi to buy Samsung. I am fan of good product I like iPhone and Samsung but I never get money to buy the spec of what I am looking in phone ,that why I go for redmi note 11s instead of Samsung A52 then
Truly, English language is not easy
Oh, what an Epistle.
Anyway, still enjoying my REDMI NOTE 9 PRO since 2021.Not a single fault.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by SyncForth: 7:17pm On Jan 13
