This news made all the filling stations to open. They want to offload their fuel just in case it is not a bluff and price crashes.

Dangote refinery success might reshapes the energy & economic future of the nation

Believe this production at your own f..Ily. Production is yet to kick off. This is a project that was commissioned last May.

They said products will be in the market by July, then August and again october. No single drop made it to the market.

The Company said it will be in the market this month. Now they are seeking regulatory approval despite No production test run before december 2023. Expected the products in the market between February and June 2024.

How are we sure those are not imported products stored for resale. Anything goes in Nigeria.

bad Belle.. Keep having negative feelings...Nah you go suffer...

If you like be too African to believe, It doesn't really matter because whether you believe or not, the refinery is already working so your opinion here is irrelevant 😒

Use your head, don't let them deceive you with media nonsense. The fg owns part of the refinery!

What Nigerians are interested in is the price reduction as a result of local refining

He can't crash anything. If he will do anything the price will be higher than the imported self.

The only way he can bring down price is if Nigeria is giving him free crude oil to refine.

You don't need any specialist to analyze this, check the price of crude and covert it to naira, divide it by 157 (liters in a barrel) then you get then price.

He has been sourcing his crude from international market.

a south easterner didnt even knew how many liters of crude is in a barrel....

those people just japp without facts....
he was sayin nigeria should only concentrate on gettin everything only with crude....

very annoyin people them....

anyways back to topic....
if nnpc has shares of dangote refinery and deliver crude to dangote for free, then nnpc still profit....

in a way its still sometype of subsidy....
nothing wrong with this practice....

south korea subsidys south korean companies alot....

So a refinery as big as Dangote commenced operations without getting all approvals?, this Nigeria make una help us make it have sense. In the bid to publish news, we are misinformed ourselves, only God know what's going on.

very possible that the price will be higher BUT the rate of dollars too will come down , crashing or bringing down the dollar rate is the main advantage of this dangote refinery , it will reduce the pressure on naira and fuel importers

Hopefully the cabal doesn't sabotage this

There is no cabal anywhere. Cabals are people in government. Why has the so called cabal not affected telecommunications?

Why?

Because they simply can't

They should keep on doing their so called cabal in government coffers.

Thats the issue here
There are top government officials who makes billions from fuel importation that would feel threatened and cut short of their evil deeds

You have a strong point.
But remember this is a private company, the owner will never open his eye to see it sabotaged.

The govt also having 20% stake will do everything within it's power to see it succeed as it is a big game changer in the economic/fiscal dynamics of the nation.

If they could not sabotage indorama petrochemical which was formerly a federal govt owned company (Eleme Petrochemicals) which became a stiff competitor to Notore, I don't see the Saboteurs succeeding if there is any at all.

Mind you it is being managed by a host of Indians, these guys have proven to be better managers. This fact alone is a big deal in my opinion, as the few Nigerians who are top management staff are inner caucus cabal to Dangote, they know better than allowing themselves to be used to sabotage this massive facility.

Well, let's wait and see what happens in a couple of months as the company slowly enters full production capacity.

I wish the Dangote Refinery well.

You do realise Dangote refinery won't reduce the price of fuel, don't you? It'll likely even increase to 900 a litre

Just imagine. I feel the prices will be very high. They won't give approval if he wants to crash the price instead only if he will join them to keep the prices high.

The only way the Nigerian people can be free of suffering and these wicked politicians is if the people rise up and do away with each and everyone of them.

Nothing will ever change in Nigeria
Who are the people?
Who are the politicians?
Didn't the politicians emerge from the people?

If you people end the current crop of politicians, the new set that will emerge from you people will be worse.

Not too young to rule, those youth that have occupied positions of power, what have they done with it?

Production will eventually kick off someday won't it? A lot of money was invested in that company to be joking around. Whether it's this month, next month or mid 2024, someday it will kick off and I believe dangote himself is doing everything to start operation as soon as possible. Na money Dem tie for that place oo.

But the person you quoted is right. You guys blindly believe everything because your man is in power. Last year wen they commissioned the factory we were told it's ready but up till this moment we're given excuses upon excuses, and you guys keep giving reasons for the excuses.

We've heard too much lies from the people in power, don't blame anyone who is sceptical

Every capitalist society provide subsidy for industries domiciled in their environment as a form of cushion to help them stay afloat and attract others.
