how many lands and territories did you gain from wars ? Isn't it how your so called fictitious Oyo empire crumbled like pack of cards

Una wan okay with Igbo ...Igbo just Dey quiet dey look ! Once they start !

Hmmmmmm

The Egun,Ewe and Ga Tribes had migrated from Yorubaland and the Alaafin of Oyo was their Protector

The Kings of Dahomey were notorious Slave Traders

The Ewe Egun and Ga Tribes sent to their Yoruba Kinsmen for Military Help when the Dahomians wanted to

Capture them and sell them into Slavery

They now sent a desperate SOS message to their Yoruba Kinsmen for help and the Alaafin of Oyo Responded with his Army

This was in the 17 th Century

The king of Dahomey had actually defeated part of them and sold many of them in to Slavery

That was how the Alaafin of Oyos Army found itself fighting Wars in Ghana Togo and Benin Republic to protect

their Brethren the Ewe Egun and Ga Tribes (They are different clans of the same people and Yorubas call all of them Eguns or sometimes Popos )

It was to save and Protect their Kinsmen from being shipped off to Brazil as Slaves by the kings of Dahomey

In the End Oyo defeated Dahomey and Dahomey was under Alaafin for almost a Century

At the same time Ewe Egun and Ga Tribes also had the Alaafin as their Protector

They are different Clans of the Same People

That was what led to Oyo Empire reaching Ghana

I had forgotten about you

I was writing for those who don’t know the history of how and why the Oyo kingdom reached Ghana
because you definitely don’t know the History

After the Alaafin of Oyo had thoroughly
defeated and Subdued Subdued the king of Dahomey another conflict Started

If you look at the Map of Ghana you will notice that the Ewe and the Ga Tribe

Of the Accra area stood between the Mighty Ashantis and the Sea

The Ashanti Army threw all they had into overrunning the Ewe and Ga Tribes to reach the sea but failed

because the Alaafin of Oyo had their backs and the Oyos we’re fighting with the Ga and Ewe to Stop the Ashanti overrunning them

They successfully defended themselves against the Ashantis onslaught to reach the sea so it could directly Trade with the Europeans

It was during these back and forth battles that the Oyo and its Allies defeated the Ashanti Army at Atakpame in Northern Togo around 1763

The Ashanti eventually reached the Sea but through a more Westerly different route away from the Ga and Ewe Tribes who the Oyos
had gone to Togo and Ghana to fight on their Side as allies to protect them

Na this nonsense chest beating. Till tomorrow you will continue to cry about how the Yorubas are dealing with you and hate from behind us and nothing will happen.

If you love Ilorin so much, you can go foist an igwe on the majority muslim population. Every body with a common sense knows that where There is a muslim majority, religion always trumps culture.

The Muslim can have their emirs, they love it. We have tried our best for them: Firstly during the defeat of Ilorin forces by the Yorubas led by Ibadan. Secondly when Awolowo wanted to merge them into the western region but was prevented by that Osu fool, Azikiwe; the Muslim population and sultan.

The Muslim Yorubas stood against the practice of Isese. Ilorin is a Muslim state, and just like any other Muslim state, the religion as fcked their heads in.

Historically valueless tribes like Ibos who have always been losing with no history of conquest should try merge your self back with your brothers in the south south. It only took Gowon, to seperate and marginalize into 5 small states.

Yoruba people created Amotekun to Protect their Interest. Igbos created ESN to flog their parents and prevent their people from exercising their God given right of movement.

Truly apart from being sore losers, wisdom is also a scarce commodity amongst the tribe.

You're so right, this was aptly captured in the Ga/Ashanti war. The truth is that Ga people of Accra,Ghana are actually Yoruba people from Oyo Ile. They have been saying it from time immemorial that they are Yoruba from Oyo Alaafin in Nigeria and that's why they are prominent Sango worshippers. Ga Mantse Adangbe of Accra recently paid homage to the Ooni of Ile Ife wherein he openly proclaimed the Yoruba root of his people. As a matter of fact he said at the palace of Ooni that Ga people will never forget their home in Nigeria i.e Yoruba land ! You can search for this on the internet.

There are so many things these Igbo people don't know about us as a people ( Yoruba) and that's why majority of us often laugh at their ignorance. The truth is that every Yoruba man is born a warrior, our forefathers fought brutal wars for years and they were never conquered by any external army or force !

It is laughable indeed that the people whose forebears were captured as slaves and sold in their large numbers are today claiming to be a warrior-tribe or something ! You begin to wonder which war did their forefathers fight and with who ?! One of those mofos even claimed that they fought wars with their neighbors to acquire their tiny erosion ravaged land! We then asked the fool to tell us which of their neighbors they fought war with, defeated and took over their land - was it the Ijaws,Binis,Itshekiri or Igala ?! Omo Eboe was blabbing as expected,he couldn't bring any proof of such wars !

Igbo's history is nothing to write home about; It is a history of slavery, cannibalism and primitiveness!
