Pardon my curiosity. Please what does VR mean? Thanks.
chrisifeanyi:

You don't need return ticket. You just need VR at POE for the minor to start school. Except you actually want the child to come back.
Minors are given vv

YOU MUST NEVER USE ANY MICROFINANCE BANK FOR A STUDY PERMIT APPLICATION. IT'S AUTOMATIC REFUSAL.
I'm writing from personal and third-party experiences.[/quot

I do not know this at as the time I applied. I used both Micro finance and my dollar account statment from access bank.

God day NL, how will I know I have passed medicals and biometrics? Will IRCC send an email to this effect? Or I need to always check my portal?

Thank God for you. I read here of how someone was ban because of fake statement of account. Thank God for you o

Apart from been ban, this is a very serious case, the agent really messed up everything even for her future applications, i would suggest she talk to an immigration lawyer for help, remember all the information the agent gave at the first instance is already on their database

Dear Nairalanders, I submitted my application on December 11th, 2023 with upfront medicals. (Though i did a spot-um test after which i went for post spotum Xtray) I got a request from IRCC today that my medical has been received and another information is required that i should go deir with d request letter.
My concern: Does it mean the Spotum result was not send or am i to do a fresh medicals? Though i will be there 2mr coz i was given 30days to do that.

Hello Everyone here,
I met with some travel agents and I was advised that my Uni grade (3rd class. 1.65 CGPA) was too low to get me admitted into a program of my choice at any college, despite having almost a decade of professional experience in it. Is this anyway true? I'll be glad if someone can share their experience if they have encountered something like this.

You can leverage on your decade of experience to apply for a Post Graduate Certificate in a Program at a college related to that your decade of work experience (Career progression).

That being said,

What did you study in the University?

What is the title of your Job and job duties?

Good evening people. Please I need advice on how best to approach this situation. Attached is the note for my friend.
She has deferred her admission in December from January when there was no response on her visa decision. The school approved her request to defer but they informed her that the certificate program (one year) has been discontinued and they only offer it in diploma now (2 years). She accepted the offer and waited for her visa decision which was eventually not approved.
With this GCMS note, I want to ask if it's best we write a reconsideration letter and include a justification for why she needed the program or she should submit another visa application with the diploma offer or possibly apply to seek MSc admission in another school. I would appreciate your opinion on this matter, please.

Her old LOA will not be valid anymore so she cannot send a reconsideration, she needs to apply again based on the new programme, and also draw a strong SOP to explain why she needs that course despite her present career, qualifications etc.

No fixed time, it can last days or weeks. Just be hopeful for a positive decision

Writing a Reconsideration letter and include a jurisdiction why she needs the program will contradicts "inconsistent" to what is already submitted in the application, so that won't work even program is invalid...

From GCMS : the applicant demonstrates through their submitted documentation that they possess an acceptable combination of education, training and experience in their respective field

With Bsc and work experience application for a diploma program or previous will be refused next Visa officer will refer to previous refusal..
The applicant needs to apply for Msc..

Good morning house, please I need the advice of the gurus on this thread. My visa application has been approved and I have received my stamped passport. However, I listed my partner as one of my home ties, I even included pictures of us from 2019 till date, stating that I would come back after my study to get married.

Now, he wants us to get married before I leave in April 2024.

1) If we get married in April, do I need to inform IRCC of the change in my marital status and most importantly, would that not raise concerns?

2) Is there a duration people need to be married for before they can apply for SOWP? If I have to get married, I would want him to join me, maybe after six months or a year.

Please I need advice.
Please when did you apply and did you use the new proof of funds of 20k CAD?

Good evening.
Please I'll advise you to pray that's number 1.
Secondly look for a reputable diagnostic laboratory near to rerun the initial blood samples text IOM did for you as fast as possible to find out what dey saw so you can tackle it head on as fast as possible, before returning to IOM as requested by IRCC, because a doctor with IOM told me categorically the day I went for my medicals on may 27 2023, that some applicant will receive a request latter from IRCC for a rerun of some of text, simply because they failed some of the medicals.
Please this information is not to stutter you but to help you make a better decision.

Thanks and good luck
