Japa Or Stay In Nigeria by RETURNOFENDSARS: 8:59pm On Jan 14
I'm a lawyer, called in 2016. I'm married with a kid and I'm in my early 30s. My wife is not working, so I have been the one shouldering the responsibility, despite that, God has given me my own house. Three bedrooms flat in front and three bedrooms flat at the back, all with full pop, water heater, full tiles, in fact all the modern facilities.
In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month.

Just of recent, the zeal to Japa to Canada has been on my mind through school route. I currently have like 7m in my account and I know I could raise it till 15m before the end of the year. The cost of schooling keep giving me issue. How will someone travel abroad and spend over 15m when I could used the money to buy hostel from people who desperately needs money or invest in real estate.

Another concern of mine is that the future of legal profession is reducing because of the amount clients are paying particularly in the area of agreement and other things.

Definitely, I won't be selling the house if I decide to relocate, the rent from the two flats will go to my mom and the least could only be 500k per year. I won't have issues sending money at home.

Please, I really need advice from lawyers that are there, how do you cope migrating. Is it advisable I leave, if yes, what are the first things I might encounter, if am relocating it will be with my family. I just don't want to regret relocating. The exchange rate is just too much

people are sad in this life honestly.

Op

A client and told me that for you to Japa currently, you're extremely doing well in Nigeria and that the grass is already green for you. To migrate yourself and your family, you need around 15 to 20ml. Can you say if you can afford such amount of money that you're doing badly or poor?

Don't Japa!

You can travel as much as you want but don't Japa!

You're living the life most Nigerians want.

Modified - After much consideration concerning the security state of 9ja, I'd advise you to make a well-detailed research before Japaing.

Just don't go from lawyer to cleaning people's nyansh.

Also, avoid UK at all cost.

Question of the day - why aren't people trying Russia?

I'll advice you to go alone first. Use study route and make sure it's a country that you can easily relocate your family after a year or two.

Please don't sell your properties to move all your family at once. I live in LA I would advise you come to the US thou it's very hard.

Remember it's not always greener on the other side. What works for Mr A might not work for Mr B.

PS: if you're one of those that forced buhari and APC government on the innocent Nigerians it will never be well with you and this your japa plan won't work out. And also if you're a Muslim terrorist online pulling down the western country you better go to Saudi Arabia or else the western country won't favour you in Jesus name.

But if you're not one of those I listed may this journey you're about to start favour you and your family.

LEAVE! NOW!

Nigeria is no longer safe. Kidnappers are slaughtering people and a former Minister of Nigeria wants to pay them for it.

Strategic decisions to ease your migration

1. Get your wife READY to work. You are unlikely to be able to support 3 people when you relocate at first.

2. Convert the money in your account to USD NOW!

3. Law is a professional course. Look into the possibility of getting a professional certification in the country you intend to migrate to instead of the study route. If it's not an option, go with the study route.

4. Be stealthy with your movement. Be like the lady who begged for rent money from her former classmates just to celebrate 8 months in Canada shortly after.

If you have the option to leave Nigeria, NEVER think twice about it. Imagine the possibilities and doors of opportunities you'd be opening for your kid and by extension, your future generation.

You could be the man to ALTER the path of your family tree in a profound way.

LEAVE!

"In all honesty I made between 600k-1.5m per month."

You are making the above as a lawyer and you be your own Landlord, leaving a comfortable life..

Ogbeni, you can save up for vacation, if you desire to see foreign land...but ja'pa You go need to back school abroad for you to practice law..that's if you don't want to do just any job.

The decision is yours.

it's all about destiny. Some Japa and had nothing to show after 20years not a single house, while some stayed back and after 20yrs became a multi millionaire/Billionaire. Japa may or may not be the solution.
