The problem is the military .... why is the military involved in civilian matters? Can the military charge him? ... can the military legally detain him? ... can the Police arrest and charge an active duty soldier and have him locked up? We need to get it in our heads that Police are law enforcers ... not soldiers. Tinubu needs to step in and put and put these powers in their respective lanes.

Comes back to the same problem ... not staying in their lanes. A Corp member ascends... is it for the Police, military or the Corp to arrest him? Does the Corp let the Police or military know when a member ascends?... does the military let the Police or Corp know when their member absconds? They don't because it it not their business. The soldier is in the wrong here ... he has a solution no right to arrest someone that is not a soldier.

What's the difference? He is under service. If anything happens to him the NYSC authorities would be questioned. It was an act of lawlessness. He should have waited till after his national service or passing Out Parade. That way he would be answerable to self. I once served. I know the rules.
