Earlier today, I was at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna, venue of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration, to honour our fallen heroes, reassure those they left behind of our commitment to their welfare, and strengthen our collaboration with the Nigerian Legion to ensure happy retirement for those who gave their all in the service of our dear country.

I also visited the 44 Reference Hospital and NAF Base Hospital, Kaduna to see members of the Armed Forces who sustained injuries in the line of duty and are receiving treatment. May the Almighty God perfect their healing. On behalf of the Kaduna State Government, I donated medical supplies and relief materials to the hospitals.

We are proud of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. We are indebted to them for their uncommon patriotism, sacrifices and selflessness. We shall continue to give them maximum support as they battle tirelessly to secure our citizens and country.

I honour the Nigerian army for their bravery, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting the nation.

Their unwavering commitment ensures the safety and security of all citizens. We salute their courage and express our deepest gratitude for their service.

Let's keep deceiving ourselves with the so called remembrance every year when what led to the death of most armed men are yet to be tackled



After the Civil War, has the 3R (Reconstruction, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration) been implemented to the later? Especially in the region where the war was fought?

Why is the country shying away from teaching the upcoming generations history about the war?


In Germany, all Germans in primary school are taught history about the first and second world wars to let them know where they are coming from. But here, we are gagging and trying to erase history of the wars because of some utopian fear...

Kaduna Update: After attending the wreath-laying ceremony, Governor Uba Sani visit NAF Base Hospital and 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital. It is also part of the activities commemorating the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

The Governor has donated wheelchairs, blankets and other medical equipment to the hospitals.

We thank God for another year and an opportunity to remember those people who have sacrificed their lives for the peace and unity of Nigeria. The people we are honouring today have paid the supreme price with their lives and it's important not to forget their efforts. That is why the Armed Forces Remembrance Day is important and we should be sober about it.

As we remember the fallen heroes of the nation, we must ensure we put enough pressure on the political system to be more sensitive to what is going on in the Country and note that the most important assignment of the Government of Nigeria today is to redesign and restructure Nigeria as the fundamental defects need to be addressed in order for it not to be forced on us.

God bless all our heroes and heroines. May the families left behind by our fallen heroes be blessed for ever.
