Jesusjnr was right about me. I stopped being an atheist because atheism doesn’t make any lore sense than theism or deism. Atheists don’t believe in “gods”, but I know gods are nonsense.

I agree with most of what you say here and I also do not really use the appellation atheist for myself anymore but I still identify with the word only in the sense that I do not believe. For me, like you ask here, to explain what it is I don't believe would be hard because the concept of a god or gods is just so ephemeral, like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands. I have no doubt that it is somewhat intentional that gods be elusive, otherwise we probably wouldn't have given the concept a second thought.
