Is this not the Zambian team that destroyed Ivory Coast 4-2? Like Nigeria! Like DRC! Missing easy chances!

Sociedad are currently playing in the Copa del Rey and Sadiq come on in the second half and the match is still ongoing.
I won't be surprised seeing Boniface and Ndidi playing for both Leverkusen and Leicester soon.

Is it that these players don't just want to play under Paseiro or they are doing it because of the NFF?

There were talks about Ndidi trying to make a transfer move this January hence the injury excuse.

As for Sadiq and boniface it’s high time we admit we just have average players who are not established in their clubs to command regular shirts in their club sides if they are away for a while. We need players wiling to play for the national team any time any day. All outstanding allowances have been released by govt so what’s the original excuse this time

Na Boniface is doing 10 weeks minimum.

Ndidi is free in six months, so has no obligation to Leicester. Infact captaining a Nigerian team at AFCON will do him far greater good.

As far as I am concerned, Iwobi is not a midfielder and doesn't have the capacity to create play for the SE. We have been watching that boy for over s decade and he practically brings nothing to the table. Iwobi is a liability to the SE. He is harming is more than hell. The man walks around the pitch all day doing nothing and suddenly makes one little pass and he will be celebrated like a hero. He is a pretender and has nothing to offer the SE.

You guys pick and choose your favorite to criticize. Iwobi might not be a world class player but for the super eagles, he has been average to good at best. The dude has double figures in goals for his country playing as a midfielder and is surpassed only by Okocha. Last game, dude created a world class opportunity for Osimehn from midfield which osimehn failed to convert and we’re blaming iwobi. As far as I’m concerned, iwobi is actually our best midfielder whether as a 6,8,10.

Our 3 wingers Musa, Simon and chukwueze has been very ineffective in the last 12 months and should be traded for a solid Attack. The coach should just play a 352 formation. Let the lb play as a LWB and RWB respectively without compromising the midfield and utilizing his 2 strikers. As a winger, if you can’t cross properly, assist or even score, you should be benched

Please, is there a huge difference as a football analyst, and coach? Because, how are multiple analysts able to decipher the wrongdoings of our coaches while the coaches cannot do it? For example, Everyone has being complaining about team selection (5 midfielders) imbalanced formation (424) etc for the past 5 years and our coaches hasn’t changed such decision. Omo, coaching con Dey fear me

I see Kelechi Iheanacho as the messiah in this tournament.

I can't wait for him to be fully fit.

I don't see him doing anything.

His form for a forward player relegated from the EPL to the Championship is poor.

He is not fit , is that not a very big risk .

The way JPes sets up his teams, we will struggle against teams that sit back and play on the counter, but play better against teams that come at us.

CIV will come out to attack us, that will give us plenty opportunities to create chances
We only hope and pray our guys finish their chances, because we will create loads of them

I see a draw or win for us against CIV

Underestimate CIV to your detriment this is a team that could drop Zaha, that tell you something.

We can't risk both CFs in the same match. Let Osimhen starts and Moffi can come in later. Moffi might start sef with Osimhen missing training.

No Alhassan Yusuf Peseiro's decision to list only 5 midfielders to a tournament still baffles me.

As a 6
I mean to not know the position of a 6 says a lot
cheesy angry grin
Not everyone here that comments knows football thoroughly
A lot are new followers of the game
I will not bother arguing with people henceforth here

Nigerians need to forget that game because it was played at harsh 2pm by foreign based players
The truth can’t be refuted though, Iwobi is the best foreign based midfield creative player Nigeria has amongst these bunch

Very ridiculous no home based players made the list of team
Why was Peseiro going to watch local games then
This is ridiculous
EQG got a draw from foreign based super eagles

ECQ's team consists of mostly foreign-basrd players too.

Well I know that but I’m starting to think some of these foreigners are overhyped
Especially on the African soil
And they don’t want it as much as home based do
The 2pm kick off was harsh though
Excuses upon excuses

. It's no fault of Sadiq,
Blame should go to the medical staffs in nigeria who ruled him out for 3weeks, only for him to get to Spain and accessed by their medical staff with result declaring he is fit and not injured..

Shame on our medical staff😐

With so many strikers now in camp, Peseiro will be tempted to revert to his 4-4-2. I hope he doesn't.

The 4-3-3 allowed us to create more chances.

Sadiq own no pain me at all. As far as I know, Sadiq isn't clearly better than Onuachu. Same physique, same skillset although Onuachu has been more prolific in scoring. We didn't lose anything.

I don't understand why you guys are misinterpreting this players situation.
Boniface is actually injured (he obviously wants to play for the eagles)
Indidi can not turn down the opportunity to rep Nigeria in the afcorn as a captain.
Sadiq's case, should be blamed on the eagles coaching staffs.

Mehn, I thoroughly enjoyed Congo vs Zambia.

This is increasingly looking like the best afcon yet.

What better way to make it memorable by lifting the Gold, come Feb 11.

Remember one side na they pay you if you don’t want to end up like mikel OBi (great career btw)

I don’t know if the injury is fake or not

But remember who pays you and who made Nigeria picked you in the first place
