It's six groups A-F, two teams 1st and 2nd qualify from each group that is 12, four 3rd place teams(best losers) qualify also to make it 12+4=16 round 16.

Let me break it down for you. NIG 1-1 EQG, GBS 2-4 EQG. NIG 1-0 IVC (penalty). If Nigeria can not score beyond 1 goal in all their previous matches, Ginuea Bissau that scored 2 against Equitorial may likely defeat Nigeria unless Nigeria gets penalty kicks. However, I wish NIG victory. MODIFIED: Nigeria defeated Guinea Bissau by a lone own goal. Super eagles should not continue to hope on luck to win their games if they are serious with this tournament.

Nice pattern but let's be careful with clustering illusion fallacy.We met the ivoriens in 1980, couldn't beat them tho, but we still went on to lift the trophy.The human brain seeks patterns and rules.Infact, it takes it one step further If it finds no familiar patterns,it simply invents some.Unless we probably face off with them in the knock out stage again and give them another beating,I will still downplay this and see it as a normal win.
