The explanation is already there.

Panels are cheaper than batteries, so if you have space, instead of adding additional batteries, and no enough panels to charge it to full, People install more panels that is required to charge the batteries and at the same time provide power for appliances being used during the day time. Eg. Fridges, Freezers, AC, Water pumping machine, etc and use only light loads at night. Watching TV, laptop, lights, charging of phones (if needed), etc.
Hi, how can this setup work with a 4000w inverter 24v system?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojesymsym: 4:19pm On Jan 17
Isn't this what a BMS with an active balancer of 2A should be able to do itself?

sintolord:
Enjoy your new upgraded battery. What was happening before was, the cells were not balanced. One cell could be fully charged while another cell could be 50% charged. When you start discharging, once the cell that probably was 50% charged is discharged to 10%, the BMS will shutdown to protect that cell. Mind you, other cells are still probably 50, 60 or 70% charged. This scenario above is why you were unable to fully charge or discharge your battery to 10%. This is where the battery balancer comes in & correct the voltage difference between the battery cells

You'll need about 7kw of solar atop your 2 batteries.
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by sintolord(m): 5:26pm On Jan 17
The BMS in the Felicity lifepo4 battery I have came with a passive balancer. In the absence of an active balancer, it will be ideal to instal a battery balancer or switch the BMS with another one that comes with an active balancer. It's cheaper to just buy a lifepo4 balancer.

Valto:
Sunfield 24v 3.2kva hybrid inverter with 80A mppt(3000w pv)
mppt voltage range 30-400V
AC charging current 60A

price=230k negotiable
whatsapp or telegram@vvalto

Please base of these info
Mppt voltage range 30 - 400vdc
And
Nominal operating voltage - 240vdc

Please strictly base off field and practical knowledge,
What would be the minimum operating voltage for this hybrid?

Would an array of 50vdc start yielding in this hybrid?

I greet everyone.

I switched on the smart Daly bms to connect to the phone app three days ago. Two days ago, it refused to connect until I press the on button on the bms again. Two days ago and yesterday, the same thing.
Is this how the Daly bms work?
Jk and Jbd that I've tested, once you link them to your phone app once, you don't need to go and restart them again, you only open your phone app, switch on the phone bluethooth and location and you're good to go.

Pls has anyone here used a transformer based inverter,? Is the power drag during use and in idle noticeable enough to hinder battery usage, like can it deduct hours from a batteries output that there is a noticeable difference.. ??

Good morning house. Who has a PSW transformerless inverter for sale pls.

Thanks

The simple answer is yes.
Depending on the type of transformer based inverter and the capacity, some consumed as high as 150w as idle power.

Omo! I knew my transformer inverter was after my life... 4 original genus 230ah battery and life no gree oversweet... one 65inch Lg tv, one 50w fan, four 10watts bulb, one 40watts insect killer.. and i use for 4 hours battery runs to 48.3volts. ..

Yes some consume alot
I just got a 7.5kva inverter n the idle consumption is 110w. My previous 2.5kva is 25w but their transformer structure is different. Just check d datasheet of what ure buying to know the idle consumption but know that some of them consume alot

Minimum should b 180 but if nominal is 240 Ur mppt won't b at optimal if d voc no reach 240vdc

Where do you get your 180 from please?
Have you installed hybrid inverters of these mppt vdc range before?

Thanks bro,
I understand wettin you write,
That 180 na start up voltage, meaning na standby
That 240 na hin charging start and the mppt functions
Because then, all na play play

Yes some can be as high as 110w. I have measured them myself. Some are around 60w. Our snadi inverters consume 30w.

Does anyone have a brand new luminous (or any good brand) hybrid inverter 1.5kva / 12v for sale?
Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by Jefferyzz(m): 12:02am On Jan 19
Nah something very similar to Ur inverter I first buy even with 140vdc d charge controller go dey go off n on.
I was advised to get 2 more panels or buy another mppt, since price of 1 panel is equal 1 charge controller as at den, I got a new controller

THE BT is going to sleep. change the bt idle time to the magic number '65535' seconds. this will prevent the bms from ever going to sleep
