What happened to the eco Atlantic project ? I haven't been following any news except of course for the refinery. With your population growth you need like 5 eco Atlantic's with Shanghai/Tokyo level density to accommodate all those people when Lagos starts industrialising.

Eko Atlantic is going on smoothly. Probably has more tower under construction than Nairobi.
To my best of knowledge Nairobi real estate sector is down and out. Nothing serious is going on there.most projects going on now are spillover from 2022 (uhuru era). Investors are now out with their money. You will be lucky to see a 15 flrs under construction in Nairobi

Are you sure about that? I'd love to see this ranking or data because Frankfurt has highrises all over. In Nigeria, only Lagos can compare of course but I still think Frankfurt would have more. Aside Frankfurt, the likes of Hamburg and even Berlin have some few skyscrapers here and there as well. Munich just preserves more of old/classic architectures.

In all, I would be glad to see your proof.

Of course I've been to Berlin and Frankfurt several times. In the case of Berlin, I've lived there for months.

What's your point? Are you saying they don't have many high rises or that they have lesser than Nigeria?

I'm saying they don't have many
A highrise in Berlin is usually out of place

Infact, to tear up that city to put up a highrise is a crime

Frankfurt has many. With Berlin hmm you may have a point but they do have a few maybe around Alexanderplatz and the likes.

15 floors don't make news in Kenya. It now done by every tom dick n harry. Kenya economy continues to grow despite global challenges n the real estate is growing all over country. Gov has stopped most public infrastructure projects to address debt overhang this year but there's are affordable housing projects countrywide.

With your obsession I'm starting to think that you might actually be that Austin slum boy. Why on earth would someone all the way in SA be watching a travel vlogger with less than 20 k subs here in Kenya?

Since you're so interested we have the Nairobi Railways City project coming up that will be twice the size of the old CBD. There's the housing projects too that will replace much of the slums and the dilapidated council houses. Tatu City is now an SEZ and Northland's city is coming up well (Expect much more pocket cities all around the city and industrial parks in the future too). Greenfield Terminal will be breaking ground this year too.

Your affordable housing whatever is a deadbeat project that died on arrival. You must be sick if you think Nairobi now has more skyscraper construction than Lagos. I have researched properly and have seen it all. Pls go lie to the Ghanaian, those ones are very gullible.

Nonsense. Kenyans are all over comments sections jubilating over 11flrs and 15fkrs,because anything above that is now alien to them.

This is not your eco Atlantic nonsense. The beautiful thing is that this thread is going nowhere and in a month's or two time when the investors are given the go ahead to start vertical construction you'll be the first one to know. cool

That's what I'm telling you. You don't need to remind them of anything. You think they don't know? Ghanaians are the worse people on planet earth to engage an argument with. They know the truth is staring at their face but they'll still argue with you till you tired. You never know ghanaians I swear.

Are industries going to move to your ghost capital ? Look at what we're doing with Lamu. An industrial city that will grow organically from manufacturing and port activities. If you don't have five or more lamu type cities along your coast Lagos will turn into its own mini country larger than Tokyo by 2040.

I'd say Abidjan has so many similarities with Lagos.

You want to compare Lamu city to the Lekki Industrial area and the free trade zone?

Had only heard of the port before and the information I'm getting online seems to be conflicting. How many berths will the port have and what's the size of the industrial zone.
