The era of northerners getting dollars easily from CBN is gone..That is the pain of the northerners.
We southerners are many times unreasonable. Abuja is the FCT and so all ministries should be headquartered there.

Have you thought of what another president from the North can do to those ministries getting moved to Lagos?

Why not Ogun state? After all, there are more commerce in Ogun than Anambra and Kano combined.
You have never been to Onitsha and Aba, so I don't blame you for saying this, you people think life starts and end in South West.

Awolowo's words readily comes to mind:
Nigeria is not a country the way you have other countries exist. It is a geographical expression.

That's why the location of federal agencies have become a burning national issue.

Keyamo is playing primordial politics. While Sirika was a serial buffoon to have moved the agency to Abuja, Keyamo has shown he's worse than Sirika by moving the agency back to Lagos in a bid to secure cheap political capital from APC Internet army who are basically domiciled in Lagos.

The location of a federal agency should not matter in the jet age if it does not transgress any laws.

All in all, it shows how APC is built as a party of ethnic and sectional sentiments that folks within same party are trading blows over mundane issues like siting of federal agencies while real governance takes a back seat.

One thing still amazes me till tomorrow, as stiff as CBN is about this forex issue, how come Aboki that's just on our streets have access to it? Not just now, they've been in control of it for several years...not even about relocating a section of cbn or not, how do they have such access to it and other tribes don't?

I think what the CBN governor wants to achieve here is to reduce their overhead cost. For instance, all banks are headquartered in Lagos and Lagos is where almost 70% of banking activities in the country take place. Now look at it, because of proper supervision, cbn staff will come to Lagos to supervise these banks and collect out of station allowances and hotel accommodation running into millions of naira. At times, they will be in Lagos for 2 to 3 months. I see this as a waste. When they go back to Abuja, the money they collect is at times 4 of their monthly salary.

Do you even know the meaning of commerce? You think your 2 by 2 shop is commerce?
You really need to be educated,so you can stop fooling yourself.

Seriously are you high on drugs. Those 2x2 shops move more dollars that all the moribund industries in Ikeja and Oregun. That market is the largest market in West Africa by trading volume moreso that people come as far as Central Africa Republic, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea, Mali and Burkina Faso to trade in Onitsha main market.NIWA stated 60% of good entering Nigeria from Lagos ports ends up in Onitsha.

This argument does not make sense.

They can as well move the Ministry to Kano as Kano is the home of commerce.

One thing the president must do is lobby these people to fully understand why certain decisions are necessary. They must learn not to interpret every move as an act of war.

Maybe it is time to discuss the vexed issue of restructuring. The north does not yet see Nigeria as one, but see themselves as the owners of Nigeria.

Even in the US, the headquarters of many federal agencies and regulators are not in Washington DC. It just doesn't make sense to centralize government powers in one location.

You think it's necessary to lobby? You think the man himself not knowing the move is the best for the country economically.

He is saying all these rubbish because of 2 things.
1. He wants his people to see him as tribal fighter, even if he is fighting wrongly.

2. He is less concerned if Nigeria as nation is wasting money, since the money is not coming out from his own pus.

The foolish man that is talking, if he has headquarters of a company in his home state in the north. Will he be spending money recklessly for transportation of staff from north to Lagos periodically, instead of moving section of those staff, which their job needed in Lagos down south?

You keep saying BS on GDP contribution yet the poverty rate in SE is rhe lowest in the country. I sare you yo bring the IgR generated by Ikeja along with its moribund industries that are now churches. Hausa/Fulani Notherners rather because we the indigenous tribes don’t care where any capital is situated so far as it is serving purpose. Nigeria una country no go move forward until un gree say we go restructure the country. Go back to 1960 constitution or una go still dey cry everyday. I go advice parliamentarians make una go back to regionalism, na the only solution for this una artificial country. I dey wonder which people( tribe, region or ethnic group) dey lazy or dey fear to buy the idea of going back to regionalism in Nigeria.

Does it make sense to you that the Ministry of Commerce should be moved to where they sit at home on Mondays undecided did you know the implication of that FYI: Lagos is the economic hub of West Africa while Zaria remains the oldest economic center of sub-Saharan & North African intra-trading activities

Forex trading has always been the trading of the North......The Mallams you see are just like corner boys selling drugs..... The major players are the northern elites, they simply use them to launder money or clean their money.

All Bank managers are seriously involved. They will get their percentages in every transaction.

Good morning, this remains opinion of the chairman board of trustees, Arewa. He only used Onitsha to hide his sentiment and parochial view about FAAN going back to Lagos.

Choosing to close your eyes to the obvious and pour your hate on Igbos because a Northerner mention Igbo city in his assertion is absurd and shows high level of hatred/tribalism and bitterness.

Address the issue he raised and him as a person and not Igbos, thank you.
