Lol

Your Rent is Due in August if you pay in September.

Count it.

September 1
October. 2
November 3
December. 4
January 5
February 6
March. 7
April 8
May 9
June 10
July 11
August. 12

So, you renew at the end of August.
Why did you leave out the exact day (17th September) that he paid?

Your counting can only be true if he paid 1st September, then his rent will be due a day before the exact date he paid, which will be 31st August.

But in this case, he paid 17th September, so his rent will be due a day before the exact day he paid, which will he 16th September. That's the right way of counting.

It is simple. If your last payment was sept 5th 2023 , your next payment due is sept 5th 2024. It is as simple as a b c d.
Re: Rent Issue! by Localordinary: 11:34am On Jan 23
If you paid your rent in September 17th last year, it is supposed to expire 16th September of the following year. Anything apart from that, 🏃

Good day NL

Please don't air me. I paid my last rent in September, September 17th to be precise. When is my rent suppose to expire, is it not September the following year?

How come they are counting August?

If you do your birthday March 5, are you celebrating your next year birthday by February 5?
OR
When a new child is born on Monday and named Monday the following week, why didn't the naming be held on Sunday..

We calculate everything right but when it comes to rent, we draw the line?

Please come to my rescue and explain because I don't understand again.

When is my rent suppose to expire I need clarification. Thank you.

He didn't rent for a calendar year - seems you don't understand what a calendar year is. He rented from 17 September...17 September is the first day of his rental year. The first month of which is 17 September to 16 October.

Oga August is correct

Sept to August is 12month

You are confusing yourself self with sept 17 date not knowing the agreement is saying sept 1 to August 30 now there is a fight over 1- 16th days

Finally check the tenancy agreement you signed that the referee

Note your tenancy does not start counting the day you made payment as people usually assume, the tenancy start counting on the date agreed and written on the receipt and on the tenancy agreement
you are wrong because if I make the next payment in August then subsequent payment will be in July and the next will be in June. You are guys are just being unreasonable

Don't you have tenancy agreement?

It is September to August, that's how we calculate it on all the properties we manage.

Do well to pay your landlord on time

September to September is 13 months. August is correct!

How did you arrive at this figure? Did you count the September he paid? The first month of his rent started counting in October. September to October makes it one month and so on like that. Now recount and explain how you arrived at 13 months. Una be thief

When did you pay?
September 1 or september 30?
What date was written on the agreement?
Those are the things that matter.

I paid September 17 and what was written on the agreement is August...
Re: Rent Issue! by OLADUN27: 11:46am On Jan 23
You are the one that caused your problem. When you pay first rent in the middle of the month you negotiate your moving in till first day of the following month. In your case your rent supposed due 1/10 and not even September you are fighting for. But you didn't go to street university. That is why. Sorry bros.

His Rent is due on August 17.

You are absolutely correct.

See how you used the word "absolutely" carelessly. You're very careless. So his next rent will be due July and the next one after that June according to your careless calculations. So you started counting the months from the September he paid? Has he spent up to one month in that same month? or how come you started counting from September? Mr careless his first month in that house was in October and that's where you start your counting from. From September to October, one month, October to November, two months and so on. Count carefully and see how careless you've been.

Dec 17 - Jan 16 = 4 months
Jan 17- Feb 16 = 5 months
Feb 17 - Mar 16 = 6 months
Mar 17 - Apr 16= 7 months
Apr 17- May 16 = 8 months
May 17 - Jun 16 = 9 months
Jun 17 - Jul 16= 10 months
Jul 17 - Aug 16 = 11 months
Aug 17 - Sep 16 = 12 months
