Re: Rent Issue! by Majesty7: 12:10pm On Jan 23, 2024 |
Gentlesoul2021: You are paying in September. That is the norms. So if you pay August, when will you pay another one? July? |

Gentlesoul2021:It is what is written on the agreement that carries weight. So, you rent is due by august. You should have negotiated for the extension of the due date when paying your first rent. |

Imagine I can see so many people on this NL that always castigate whatever govt does, they complain like tomorrow no dey, abuse govt like kilode, common to calculate 12 calendar months they no fit, you see them saying Buhari no go school, Tinubu get fake results, see whole lots of arguments just to calculate 12 calendar month, September 2023 to August 2024 is 12 months while September to September is 13 month, so if you pay house rent for 1 year which is 12 months, the calculation will be from September 16, 2023, to August 2024 which is 1 year. I hope the Coconut brain people will be able to understand this. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Sirebrightlight: Lol. We have to be specific about the date, that's the main thing. With this your calculation, we can correctly assume that you have never paid or accept rent in your life. Otherwise, you would have known that it has to be September 17th 2023 to September 16th 2024 |

kole22k: Olodo rabata!! Why u no put date in front of August when you put date for September? Let me help you, it is Sep 16, 2023 to Sep 15, 2024. BTW: why are you observing your birthdays the same month of the year? That should be 13 months by your own submission 1 Like |

kole22k: The audacity of this empty-brained numbskull to call people dumb while being completely wrong. September 17 2023 to September 16 2024 is how many months exactly? I want to see if there's hope for you or if you're a total lost cause. |

17sept to anoda 17sept the next year is one calender year. the landlord is not suppose to count frm sep1st to sept16 for you since you dint pack into the apartment as at dt period. He is shortchanging you if he tells you your rent expires august the following year. He can only say your rent expires the following year if you packed into dt apartment sept1st |

16th September to 16th August . That's 12months rent . Count every 16th of the month after September till you arrive at 12months exact . Your landlord is 100000% right. Do well to pay his rent on time . |
