Vocals:You are right. Each location in Abeokuta has to be addressed in a unique way. Deep well would probably be the best option in ijeun Titun, which is near to laderin. I was advised against drilling borehole in laderin. I went for deep well. Obada alone has different terrain. I did deep well but failed. Had to do boreholes in two different locations. 1 Like |

I've been meaning to write it here for a while, the opinion of myself and my screeders is that basecoat putty is better than cement screeding. Often times, cement screeding tends to crack after some time, it needs to be primed with white emulsion paint to prevent excessive consumption of paint and give white background for a sharper final paint application. Basecoat is white and doesn't need any extra priming. Those we have handled application for can attest to these. 4 Likes 1 Share |

gbadexy:I will never advise anyone to use cement or even pop for screeding. Basecoat is the best. After you did the screeding on mine and painted it, the end result was reflecting and as smooth as a mirror. 3 Likes |

Rany4all:It can be used for both internal and external. It should dry relatively strong also without dusting, suggesting adequate binder and good bonding to the wall. 1 Like |

Hi guys I am a benefactor of nairaland information... Long story short, I presently embarking on a building project reason I decided to visit the properties thread. Please I really don't know where to start from, in reading up info however I intend to start following up with discussions here notwithstanding, what would I learn/gain from the thread a newbie? I mean, j just started building a first house, the peg for foundation just started today. Elders with expierence, please can u guys put me through perhaps guide me with the pro & con of building (first) new house. I want to believe there are avoidable mistakes in order not to regret at completion. I am also open for suppliers of materials (pocket friendly) as well professional advice/services... as much as I can get as long it would be helpful/vital in the ongoing project. Thank you guys |
