Useless Judgement,

However, I am sure EFCC sent lazy lawyers to do this case, else the first order wouldn't have been given if their lawyers could show that the property is a proceed of Crime

EFCC said its a proceed of crime which they have taken possession and now they want to sell it. Emenike lives in the property and want to buy it from EFCC, EFCC don't want to sell to him but someone else. Emenike has the right of first refusal as a tenant in the building.

So EFCC goofed. Why don't they want to sell the house to Emenike?

When he has been working overtime to probe all your high net politicians and sponsors of evil.

Exactly... The man deliberately under valued the property to escape the law

Blame EFCC for putting the property at such price. A buyer can't fix the price of a goods for a seller except the seller agrees to it

So proceed of crime can't be sold to first users who aren't linked to the crime? They must be sold to family and friends of the crime burster?

You don't get it, read it all over.
it's a proceed of crime already forfeited but emenike is a tenant there and want to continue staying there by acquisition.
He is not the original owner that forfeited the property to FG.

If Nigeria is a sane country, the IGP would have carried out the arrest order.

Unfortunately, Nigeria isn't a sane country.

Do we have strong systems? If we did the EFCC or dss wont be disobeying court orders.

This agency and its lousiness in court. That was how Peter Odili got away with an absurd perpetual injunction. Till date, they have not taken any action. The judiciary has its own blame.

That is not the issue Mr.

Read the article properly .

The claimant is a tenant , not the owner of the property . So whether it’s a proceed of crime or or not doesn’t concern him. The EFCC did not get an order of eviction from a court . They simply blocked the entrance even after the court had ordered them to not prevent the tenant from driving in and out of his house .

I’m explaining to you what you already ‘read’

Youths dont read again these days.
Obviously, common sense would interpret the story to mean that EMENIKE was a TENANT in the said property which was dubbed a proceed of crime.
EFCC valued it at the said amount and wanted him to vacate for the sale.
He opted to buy it but EFCC denied him his right of first refusal.

Lastly, he wasn't the ORIGINAL OWNER.
CLEAR?.

He's a tenant. Go back and read it.
Okay...but he's still high. Which law states he has "right of first refusal"?
The EFCC should further investigate him. Where did he get such money and why is he so keen on acquiring the property?

We can agree on first refusal since it was not stated in the report that EFCC has put it up for auction.
On investigating him, do you think someone who's shady will have the balls to ask to buy it over and when refused, sued EFCC knowing they'd come hard after him?

The issue has nothing to do with it being a proceed of crime. Te property has already been forfeited by the original owner - now what is happening is that the tenant is simply saying okay, you want to sell this house that my landlord forfeited - let me buy it since I live here already. Simple.

Is it compulsory to sell to him? It depends on the terms of sale.
