GDP data is the main focus of the day, as it will shows how much the US economy grew in Q4 of 2023, and coupled with recent strong economic data that has been coming out of the US in the previous week, from NFP to CPI to PMI and retail sales, also not excluding previous unemployment claims like that of last week, it shows how resilient and strong the US economy is, even though the market was forecasting a poor growth in the US economy, GDP surprised to the upside, although unemployment claim came out lower this week it is not still enough to discount the previous releases, so USD bulls are definitely taking over, that's why I am shorting gold....

My analysis is from the weekly timeframe. there is a broke support at 1.63259 level and instead of the market to complete and target the imbalance between 1.60595 and 1.60040 but it never did, which means there is a vacuum in that level. So, the market reversed and when back up again and formed a double top at 1.65151 but last week it broke the double top and acted as if it want to continue moving up but there was a rejection last week and on on Friday last week it came back and close on the same level at 1.65151and the double top still remain intact and not broken.

That was what gave me the impression that beginning from this week the market is ready to drop and fill the imbalance at the 1.50595 and 1.60040

I indicated that the trade is risky because on the monthly time frame we have a double buttom already. So, it could go either way

Na wa for this one self. So many things I have said in the past. Precise you don't learn trading in nairaland. I don explain tire abeg.. I never complained about anyone when I joined this forex group on nairaland for the first time. I only admired the good traders studying their charts and everything they posted, I read through. Yet, I keep trading on my own and figuring out how to goa about my trading. Even at that time I used to share only result of my profits here with demo account, they even banned me several times. To the extent, I started picking up fight with anyone that comment rubbish that offends, that was when I was a newbie still blowing accounts. Yet, I never complained about those making profit.

But anytime I want to take a trade, back then it was saxy that I always ask to draw me a chat on the pair I want to trade, whenever he does it for me, I am always amazed on how he does it but I never complained or picked a fault on him.

The I went to youtube started searching how to draw trendlines, support, resistance, etc gradually I stumbled over many pro traders which I followed, to my counting, they are up to 20 of them. But as time goes on I started cutting down on those ones I don't like there pattern and I stock with about 4 that seem interesting to me, the rest is history.

Let me tell you something bro, find your part and stop complaining rather cherish those who are doing well and strive to be good at the game. Do your homework very well and you will get there. I followed fxgoat (the twin brothers from southafrica), dapo Willis, Esther moffery (a woman from Kenya), and Justin Bennett.

If you know what you want and you are determined, you will eventually find it.

Got stopped out again, really a fierce fight between the bulls and bears, market really confused as to which direction to go due to mixed data from the US, strong GDP for Q4 was released and weak jobs data came out also,

I still rentered short on gold at 2022 with my stoploss at 2027, if it gets hit for the third time, I am definitely done for today...
