chidiokay: Leave them. Na miracles dem like. They think power rot of over 50 years can be corrected in 8 months of a new government. Can we lay and commission gas pipe, power transmission lines, turbines in 2 years and have steady electricity within the same period? The rot in the sector CAN NEVER BE CLEANED BY ANY NIGERIAN PRESIDENT unless they do sincere privatizations and allow experienced foreigners to run our power sector for us. Some of people complaining here don’t have prepaid meters o. Some of them bypass electricity connections o. And they will come out and be complaining, forgetting that they are part of the rot they are blaming someone else. Among those private power company, which of them can invest a minimum of N5trillion in a year for a minimum of 15 years before we can have appreciable electricity? What efforts have our state governors made to help with power generation since Bubu signed the law that allows states to generate their own power? We won’t hold our state governors accountable. We would be passing all blames to central government. 1 Like |

Tinubu and good news are enemies. When a wicked thief is in power, he has invited bad to reign in his regime. Light and darkness has nothing in common. May God protect those who stand for good and justice and punish all those who perpetrated and support this evil. |

Sometimes, I wonder how people can defend the indefensible. The lack of direction and incompetence of this government is staring us in the face. Within 8 months, there is nothing positively tangible that this government can point to that they have achieved. The only tangible thing they have achieved is to inflict suffering on the docile Nigerians who allowed them to take power through deceit and manipulations. 2 Likes |

The wrong set of people entered the power sector in a bid to make money but look at the ugly situation now.. until politicians start leaving the critical sectors for people that have concrete knowledge of the workings there, we'll continue in this circle of mediocrity. 1 Like |

Same story, regime after regime, year after year, season after season. When are we going to make power available to Nigerians 24/7, seems we are doomed on this power issue till eternity, since the inception of the 4th republic, it's been promise. after promise from Obasanjo to Tinubu but no positive change, it's even worst. In my area with "one day on and one day off" load shedding, we still hardly get aggregate 8 hours of power during our day on. Is there anything like dividend of democracy for the ordinary folks. I remember during the Abacha era, it was much better than what we have now. Every government from Obasanjo till now is a failure. They all fail to deliver on the power issue. Trillions sunk, but virtually nothing to show for it |
