Apparently, respect nowadays comes in the form of contorting oneself into a human pretzel. But hold on, wasn't Sunny Ade grooving to Afrobeats just last week? Age is just a number, people! Maybe he prefers a fist bump? Then, the apology. Oh, the apology! Calling him "uncle" instead of "King Sunny Ade, the Grand Juju Master of the Universe"? Oy vey! Did she forget to sprinkle in some incense and offer a ceremonial kola nut while she was at it? It's like apologizing for spilling wine by pouring the entire bottle on the host's Persian rug. Extra points for effort, zero points for execution.

Look, folks, let's all take a deep breath and remember: cultural appreciation is great, but cultural appropriation is a recipe for online disaster. Maybe instead of judging greetings, we can appreciate the music that unites us, young and old, grooving and prostrating alike. After all, isn't that what Sunny Ade himself would want?
