In this harsh economic environment, it makes strategic economic sense to consider making use of public infrastructure, which although less efficient, are extremely cheaper than other alternatives. One of such infrastructures is the post office box.

Recently I applied for a P.O Box for personal/general use after missing an opportunity; a letter from Switzerland due to unclear address. You know those typical addresses we have in Nigeria, like Behind Aso rock, opposite sambisa forest, etc cheesy

I got my first mail through it this month. It was a letter sent from Lagos to my city. It cost the sender ₦100 and it took 8 days to arrive! I picked it up thereafter. If it were to be through the motor park, the sender would have paid around ₦4,000. DHL, UPS, and co would have charged not less than ₦8,000. Even the registered mail cost me only a tiny fraction of what I would have paid if I had posted through courier.

It depends if you are applying as an individual or as a company. Personal box is a little less than ₦6,000. Company or business is a little higher.
